Close to the lake
Lack of interest from staff, especially the manager. No hot water in room. Manager told that they may bring it in bucket. Poor breakfast. Second day we ate outside.

The property was located on the shores of Lake Victoria and had its own private beer garden right on the beach.
The accomodation was set back from the road, which kept any road noise away.
The property is dated but it is obvious that the owner is investing in upgrading the property. It’s a work in progress.
The tiled floors and heavy doors did little to allow for a restful sleep. Every step, door closing and conversation echoed throughout the property.
A plus for the property is the in-house restaurant and the Indian cuisine is fantastic. However, a lot of the other options weren’t available. I would suggest rather than offering a patron an elaborate menu and disappointing them when their choice isn’t available; review the menu weekly and only offer what is available.
Plumbing was an issue. No hot water. I ended up using one of the vacant rooms to shower.

The ability to enjoy breakfast on the lakefront.
It was secure. The staff in security and restaurant were nice.
TL;DR put in a different (much worse) accommodation to what we had booked. Room was not clean, with used condoms on the floor.
We had booked Saffron Beach Cottages for one night whilst we dropped off visiting family at the airport.
We had booked a "Superior Double", which was meant to include ensuite, bed net, balcony, aircon etc. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were taken some 1km away to another property ("Saffron Suites") where our room was. Not too much a problem, as it was closer to the mall/botanical gardens etc, but not what we expected. Unfortunately, this room had no air con, no ensuite ("private" bathroom was off a shared landing), a view of the parking space only, and not bed net, nor even anywhere to hang a bed net. We were tired from travelling so accepted without fuss as it looked clean and comfortable.
Card payment was not available, cash only
Unfortunately, when it came to get ready for the night, one of our guests stood on a used condom, that was left under the edge of the bed. Gross. Our only point of contact at this point was the friendly guard (who we couldn't find), or else walking 1km back to the main venue. We dealt with the issue ourselves. The bedsheets, when pulled back, also had some dirt marks, so presumably not washed either. The bed was otherwise comfortable enough.
We, obviously, complained in the morning. The staff were very apologetic (regarding the cleanliness) but blamed Booking.com for the room issue. No refund, partial refund, or even a drink or meal was offered, and to be honest, we just wanted out of there.
I always endeavour to highlight the good in people and write good reviews whenever I can, but I simply cannot recommend this place on account of 1) not the place we booked and 2) the frankly disgusting uncleanliness.

The size of the room was big, the hotel was near lake victoria with a lovely sitting area to watch the water.
There was no power and the hotel staff and manager miscommunicated the severity of the issue. There was no power all night. For a one-night stay, this was a huge issue. The water pressure was low for the showers and tap. No hot shower, just cold water.

This is a very nice hotel with great staff. The location is great, with a rooftop seating area and access to the beach on Lake Victoria. The staff and owner were incredibly accommodating when my luggage was delayed by the airline. They allowed me to safely store my bags there (free of charge) when the airport staff dropped them off after I had to leave Entebbe for the rest of my trip. They also helped me arrange transport for my bags to my next hotel in the western region. I highly recommend them!

Welcomed with Smile by Staff Quickly Checked in my Room!! I was Surprised with Room Ambience Cosy Bed, Smart TV and AC what else i needed... I was so Tired so took Hot Shower and slept well for an hour
In the evening wanted to eat so Staff helped me to choose the food i ate Golden Fried Chicken and Chips
And it was right choice!! Meanwhile Clicked scenic Pictures in the Garden and Beach.....Green Garden and Flowers everywhere... Had a Good time!!

I checked the reviews and decided not to book but called the hotel and ask about facilites and the person attaned well but not booked. finally I booked with booking.com and requested non smoking room. the experience was so good with very well maintained beach and tarrce view. I like indian food and that was the reason I booked saffron. The food was amazing talk to Chef Mondal he was so humble and served good indian breakfast. this hotel is very comfortable and highly recommended. even the oliva the receptionist was so helpful.

Great ambience in the place. It's a nice place if you want to rest your thoughts. The staff are very friendly, more like a family and are open to feedback.For it's value, the room has stable internet connection and smart TV, which was exceptional for it's value
Breakfast fell short of expectations, not fully continental. The facility that was meant for two guests had some accessories for only 1 person. Parking space was also small.
