It was a nice property
There were a lot of people from the community using the property which made for a lot of commotion at the pool. The pool also closes too early

We stayed at the Protea Hotel Entebbe before and after our Uganda safaris. Three nights total. The facilities were outstanding. The hotel is close to the airport so transfers are easy. The Tides Restaurant offers great food all day long. The lamb shanks and Nile perch are exceptional. In the case of the perch it was expertly prepared to a perfect condition with a mushroom sauce making it one of the best meals I have ever had. Absolutely superb. The entire staff made you feel welcome and the center of their attention.

Breakfast bar was excellent. Hotel location is excellent right on Lake Victoria and near the airport. Staff were very kind and helpful.
I was warm in the halls and lobby and dining room as no air conditioning in common areas. No hair conditioner in room or bathroom/barware glasses or mini refrigerator, even in my upgraded executive suite room. Beverage and food service in the dining room was slower then expected when ordering off a menu. I also did not like the wait staff wanting to clear my plates when I was not finished or waiting for my dining companion to finish eating before cleaning the table. I had to ask them to stop. Having reliably cold beverages and ice cubes made with purified water would have been appreciated.

Superb location, close to the airport, but right on Lake Victoria (and a magnificent view). Excellent breakfast with many buffet choices. We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was lovely and spacious (much appreciated!). DInner was also very good. Staff were always pleasant and helpful, always looking for ways to be helpful and always smiling. Free airport shuttle was also greatly appreciated. We also hired a driver (Wahab) for the day through the hotel and he was excellent.

The big numbers of non residents during that period made it challenging to enjoy the facilities . We preferred to leave the premises or stay in the room

Its old and dirty, toilet is not modern, they don’t provide the toilet essentials, I met the most unprofessional team at the desk, not having a coordinating system, I sign on my bills at the restaurant and they said the room I wrote on the bill is vacant and they thought I was faking it. They start yelling on me..
I had also hard time paying with Apple Pay. They said the POs machines are not working and they seem to be ok with that.
Its infested with Insects and it’s dirty and good birds poops everywhere

Convenient for an overnight after a late arrival. Good breakfast.
Not a business hotel. Took me so much time to convince them to rent me an adapter by accepting euros as a guarantee. In the first place they shouldn't have asked for the guarantee for the excessive price they charge owe night.
