We booked for 4 nights and checked out after the first night...The hotel had the potential to be amazing. The hotel is situated outside the city and adjacent to a forrest (not backing on to a forrest or in a forrest) but across the road from one. We went to the hotel with low expectations, we just thought it would be a simple city escape, nothing glamorous, but basic. Perhaps we could visit the spa, get some ok food, visit the forrest and have a decent night sleep. So this is not a matter of a hotel not meeting our wild expectations of some Fancy Four Seasons Spa (the likes you would see in Dubai, or Milan) this is the matter of a hotel not meeting our basic expectations... Two things about the hotel which were good: - The outdoor pool area (which is very pleasant) aside from the odd club music they play as if they're trying to recreate a Marbella/ibiza beach club... (weird) - The night shift receptions Nadia... - super pleasant, very professional, courteous, polite, helpful and way too good for this Hotel. (Nadia if you're reading this, you're too good for this Hotel) On our only night of our stay, my wife and I sat by the pool (adjacent to the bar) - whilst the night attendant and the bar staff left us to sit in the dark for at least 2 hrs, Nadia the receptionist, came out, lit some candles, had the attendant switch the pool lights on and Brought us some blankets... which we just thought was above and beyond her scope.
Where to begin... - Upon check in, the daytime receptionist tried to charge us double the rate that was on booking.com. - Once confronted, she then proceeded to tell us that she could not understand how booking.com had allowed us to book the room at that rate, because none were available. There was an awkward silence as she waited for me to agree to Pay the double rate. She then went on the phone and asked us to take a seat by the bar while she tried to figure out a solution (lets just stop here, the hotel was empty, probably had an occupancy of 50 rooms? maybe less than 10 of which were occupied) eventually she miraculously found us a room. - During our wait for the room, we went for lunch (as mentioned above, we didn't have high expectations, just pleasant basic ones, hence we didn't order the carbonara or handmade ramen noodles) I ordered a steak, ribeye, medium-rare... I just felt it was hard to mess up a steak. Low and behold the steak came out absolutely cremated, burnt to a crisp. I cut open the steak and it was beyond 'well done' and brought this to the waiters attention. He argued that it was in fact Medium rare.... After a back and fourth he agreed and brought out another steak, this time a filet... which was also supposed to be medium rare... but was also instead well done, no red meat in sight. - The bedroom stunk (smell like an old persons home/ retirement home) - The bedroom floor was not clean, in fact it was dirty - The duvet cover was not clean, still had other peoples hairs and stain on. - The bedroom table had finger nails and pubic hair on. - Off an evening, there was cockroaches scouring round on the bedroom floor - during our only evening by the pool, the waiter asked if he could prematurely close the tab, as he needed to "Make a quick run to the shop..."

Restaurant staff very attentive.
Over the weekend it was a buffet style breakfast menu. On the Monday this changed to a pre order system and a new location outside which was warmer. Asked for a second coffee and was charged for it. We had hoped to enjoy swimming pool pool on the Monday but this was closed off to us as film crew were using it. Also friend had massage booked this was also delayed due to film crew using tables.

Clean rooms. Nice pool and facilities around it. In general good food and nice breakfast. Good and quiet place. The nice green area behind the hotel. Friendly staff.
The service is not very good. It takes up to 30 min to get your food after ordering. Sometimes you order one dish and surprisingly get totally different one. Prices in the restaurant are high. Higher then it costs.

Not a bad SPA (incl. jacuzzi, sauna, hammam, salt cave) and a good swimming pool. Nice neighborhood, very green area. Tasty breakfast. The room was also not bad with a spacious terrace.
The hotel is a bit overpriced, but its restaurants are overpriced even more - prices in the local restaurants 2-3 times higher comparing to the prices of decent Kyiv restaurants. The one thing we also didn't like - after you check out, they ask you to wait and go to the room to check, whether you haven't broken or stolen smth - which was rather strange and confusing.

The pool.
We traveled from Kyiv, arriving a few hours earlier than 2pm check-in time. We think charging a family 500 UAH per person to use the pool for a few hours before 2pm doesn't create a "good look". So, the two of us borrowed push bikes at 100 UAH each per hour. Only problem was they were both in terrible condition. The seat was broken on one, they squeeked and creaked all the way, the tyres were soft. The nighttray fridge was completely empty. The Reception staff messed up the final invoice I specifically requested when we checked in. Every one of the staff seemed "overworked and underpaid", and the feeling I had was to pity their situation. We felt it could be a nice experience - great pool etc., but the overriding impression was lack of quality service for rather a lot of money. It would be absolutely fine for a "day trip" from Kyiv, but only to use the pool. Thanks
