Dear Booking.com Team, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Royal Grand Hotel booked through your platform. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected due to several issues with the room condition and service. 1. Damaged Curtains – The curtains in my room were visibly damaged, affecting the overall appearance and comfort. 2. Slippery Balcony Floor – The balcony floor was extremely slippery, especially with snow, posing a serious safety hazard. 3. Stains on the Duvet (not duvet cover) – The bedding was not clean, with visible stains on the duvet, which was unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. 4. Unprofessional Service – At 12:15 PM, I was unexpectedly disturbed by a staff member knocking on my door, requesting an immediate check-out. While I understand check-out policies, the approach was abrupt, unprofessional, and made me feel unwelcome, as if I was being rushed out the door. Service in hospitality should always be customer-oriented, ensuring that guests feel valued and respected. Instead of such a harsh approach, the staff should have at least offered an alternative option to extend the stay and communicated it in a way that would make the guest feel comfortable and appreciated, rather than pressured to leave. I believe that a guest’s experience should be prioritized, and such treatment is neither acceptable nor reflective of proper hospitality standards. I kindly ask you to address these concerns with the hotel and consider appropriate action. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter and look forward to your response. This hotel feels like a dream from the moment you arrive, as it resembles a castle. Its central location near the Golden Gates of Kyiv offers easy access to excellent restaurants and cafes. The staff truly deserves commendation; despite the ongoing challenges in the country and issues with public utilities, they consistently strive to provide the best service, always with a smile.
