It wasn't that easy to find the hostel at the back of a building, entrance hidden behind drying laundry. Matching the initial impressions, the place inside was pretty hardcore albeit cosy and unique at the same time. It wasn't very clean overall, especially the shower but with many people rotating daily it's to be expected. The beds weren't too bad and the bedding was clean and fresh, so no problem there.
The weirdest thing that I both loved but also what made my private room much less private, was a gigantic rotated frosted glass window on the wall that faces the dorm room (which I BTW had to pass every time going in and out, so it was a bit awkward too). Such window allowed to see the movement from both sides, was leaking light and sound as well -- but at the same time it was so freakish and unnecessary I couldn't help but admire it.

The rooms were difficult to find, and the whole hostel was smelling really bad. Poor hygiene. Even the sheets on the beds smelled. The room was dusty. Dirty wallpapers.

The location was good.
I had a separate room in the hostel. Air conditioning: despite the hostel advertises its room with air conditioning (seen also in images), it is not working at all. Hygiene: the hostel has been invaded by bugs and insects due to poor hygiene. My room was full of bugs. There were much more cockroaches than customers in hostel. The cockroaches were everywhere, such as in the kitchen, on the microvawe oven. Kitchen: the dishes in the kitchen were dirty, though they were washed. I had to wash them againg before using. Water: I stayed 17 days in hostel. There was no water 3 days in hostel. Water is a serious problem in the hostel. Internet: did not function almost a day. Personnel: the hotel receptionist was not friendly. She was accusing me of using the soap in bathroom :) In general, I do not recommend this hostel to anyone. For the same price, you can get better place in Kiew.

It was nice to have entire apartment close to the park and metro (relatively). The facilities were good - new washing machine, new microwave and decent furniture. In general, its an okay place to stay, quite comfortable when you have all the facilities for a reasonable price. The location isn’t that far from a metro, and there is only two metro station to end up in the center of Kiev. Also supermarkets were really close to the place
The person (host) who supposed to meet us or tell us how to get to the apartments was really pissed off by something we couldn’t understand. We didn’t know how to find an entrance for the apartment, because there is no explanation. And the host was quite unfriendly when we had communication. The location. The entrance of this building is terrible, literally could’ve been a location from “fallout”games with a disgusting smell. Building is terrible. Also, this neighbourhood is not a place where a common foreigner tourist would like to be (maybe only if you’re an extreme explorer from UK searching for soviet legacy in Ukraine ;) ). I would recommend to the property owner to add some pictures of the building, to make the guests prepared, because I personally didn’t expect such an environment. Facility problems. Shower cabin is a bit weird, because it has super inconvenient stair step inside, and the shower cabin border is just to high to step in. Water in the shower was either cold or hot. Lights controller in the main room didn’t work. Cleanness. In general the cleanness was quite okay. But, the shower cabin was super sticky, so we had to clean it, and also some dishes were dirty (on a shelf).
