The location can not be beat. It is right in the heart of Kiev on the main street (just off it actually in an alleyway) but so close! You go down the alley way and you are in the middle of everything. go right and you get to the metro in 2 minutes or so. Go left and there is a small grocery store just across the small street. The Apartment was huge, and nice. The heat was working and there were even smaller electric heaters in case you get a little chilly (I was there in January)
The lady who met me was very nice but spoke no English at all. Fortunately I speak a little Russian and was to understand some of what she was saying and able to get my points across, but with difficulty. If you go and you speak no Russian prepare for an challenge. There were some things that could be changed.... There was dish soap for the kitchen, but no sponges or towels to clean the dishes. There was a dishwasher, but no soap for it. The building is old, but the apartment is new, but there were bugs on the counter every time i went into the kitchen. There was a clothes washing machine, but again... no soap. It could use room darkening drapes in the bedroom as the flashing lights from the advertisement across the street made it into the room.
