Proximity to sea and old town. Hotel staff were exceptional: helpful, accommodating, welcoming, kind. We loved decor and setting. This place is a gem.

The Hotel is nice - interesting construction, 3 nice pools, good location in Stone Town
Beach is not nice for bathing, staff was efficient but not friendly, food was ok (but burger and cake were terrible)

The 3 pools on different levels. Situated right in the beach with ocean views. The character and uniqueness of the hotel. The included breakfast buffet. Convenient location to shopping and restaurants.

Huge property, great support, Access to the beach, room was very spacious.
Missing body lotion, toothbrush and also my room was next to the cogenerator so it was quite noisy

Everything was excellent (until I wanted to sleep).
AVOID ROOM #20. There was a water pump going on every few minutes just next to our room that kept us up all night. For such a price one expects at least a good night of sleep, which we didn't get. The place is great but I'm also a bit disappointed by how the staff handled the complaint. Too bad, such a nice place and then you can't even sleep the whole night.

Very beautiful location.
The swimming pool at the entrance of the Hotel is spectacular. I loved my room facing on the courtyard with balcony “ pool view “ . The breakfast at the restaurant located in front of the beach is what I enjoyed very much .
I liked also the details of the forniture .
The neighbourhood is perfect close to everything.

very close to town and the beach.
We only stayed one night before our departure to Turkey. staff is very flexible and the main building look so attractive. Then they put us in a building way back no lift/elevator on 3rd floor. as short-term stay is important as long stay we were put a far away from the main building is a disappointing.

The location was very good
We had a family room that was in another building across the street. The single beds were so small that our teenage boys couldn’t sleep in them with straight legs. Also the door to the street was not locked and there was no security during night, and still all windows were open to the stairway when we checked-in. I’m glad we realized that. Next morning there was mosquitos in the room, and we got bitten before realizing them. I don’t think the room got sprayed during our stay. The hotel is ok, if you enjoy 80’s style and don’t care about comfort. The only area to sit in the whole apartment was a mattress on the salon floor that represented ‘sofa’.

Hotel is on the beach. Close to restaurants and shops. Easy to get to and from the airport. AC and shower worked well. They have a ping pong table.
Bed and pillows were hard. A ground floor room lacks some privacy and is also rather noisy.

Tembo House Hotel has a lovely location, between the Stone Town and the beach. We've stayed there many times over the years, and are happy with the accommodation and the staff - all the way up to the managing director. Recommended!

Nice pools and ocean view.
Property has rustic furniture and accents, staff were helpful. Free breakfast had decent options.
We got room 100 which was big and close to the pool with great view. Location was within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping and airport.
If you are looking for relaxing and primarily swimming in the ocean consider stay at Kendwa, our kids preferred the beach there.
Air conditioning for the room was slow to work and not adequate

This people are not good are EXTREMELY GOOD I couldn’t find one fault , my kids loved the place as a tour operator I will start selling them wonderful staff service rooms we loved it, langi langi is nugwi is worse don’t go stay in town .
