I knew that I was going during Ramadan, however the hotel did nothing to inform me of the lack of service. Sure, the restaurant was closed during the day, however there was no early morning service, no cleaning, no check out service, and no instructions

Good wifi. Room was clean. Good central location. Manager was very helpful.
Were initially sent to another hotel (Archipelago Waterfront) which apparently has the same owner and the rooms are listed on booking.com belonging to Stone Town Cafe B&B, too, without any hint that it‘s actually somewhere else. After insisting on staying at Stone Town Cafe B&B as was booked we did get a room there.
No buffet for breakfast - you choose from the menu but it‘s not really clear what‘s included with your stay.

right at the centre of things. great location. Great staff.
Ants in the bathroom.. boiler in our room was temperamental really hot at times a little dangerous. Access to non dairy milk was difficult.. especially since it’s a coffee house. Should be more accessible to non dairy.

I loved the restaurant downstairs, amazing food and amazing friendly staff. There was a lot of character to the place.
Room number two was facing the road, which was hectic day and night. It was Eid celebrations which contributed to the noise. There were plumbing issues, which the manager tried to sort out to little avail.

Pleasant
if you have clients paying a high price, specially for one of the most expensive rooms that you have. Breakfast in bed need to be offered daily with full on tableware service. In addition, you need to give your clients more breakfast option. I will also add as well that free/complimentary pick-up/drop-off services to and from airports or ferry. This is especially true for someone paying for your most expensive room.
I didn't like the fact that there isn't any security monitoring the entrances to the room. Many times, we have had people mainly men following and looking where we were going. There needs to be after hours operational support and security. After hours customer support for when something is needed after 10pm.

The location was great!
I didn’t have access to hot water. I also didn’t realize that there would be so many stairs. While I am glad that I was moved to a lower level, I still had to climb the stairs with a bad knee.

The location has a beach front and next to other hotels. The staff and the hosts were exceptional in their hospitality and the food was delicious.
On the day of our departure, the host even helped us find a taxi to take us to our next location.
Our visit coincided with Ramadan so the hotel's restaurant only opened at night but the owners were courteous enough to let us know when we were booking.

Incredible value for money. Generous comfortable room, with a fabulous bed + AC, fan and fridge. Location is perfect for exploring Stone Town. The staff were wonderful, and accommodated a late check out as no one was arriving to stay in our room that day. Highly recommend their sister restaurant Archipelago, delicious food (the King Fish and Prawns were amazing) beautifully located on the beach front to watch the sun set, and romantically lit at night.
The towels were always clean, but sometimes discoloured / stained.
