I had a whole dormitory for myself and a full breakfast buffet as well. Super friendly staff, both at check-in and the next morning. I could leave my bags there all day.
I had stayed in Princess Salme before and was expecting the same beautiful place. But the real hotel is being renovated and this is an annex at a different location. Maybe I didn't read the fine print but it was confusing.

Very steep steps up to my room. Room very basic. Not as nice as in photo. Very small. Large bathroom area though.

It is good value for the money. Basic, but clean. Good backpacker option.
In some rooms there was hot water available in some not. But in Zanzibar hot water is not a must :-)

Very minimalistic and clean room. Not else you need for one night staying there. Very cheap price. Good location in city. Nice rooftop with view. Comfy bunk beds.
