I valued highly the customer service and the facilities. They arranged the tours last minute. Beautiful and historic interior and exterior.
The musky smell in the room and the matress was too soft for me.

There was no water in the faciality in the evening, we waited about 30 minutes for water after reporting it to the Staff. There was sand on the beds that fell from the ceilling

Atmosphere in the house was quite. Interior was pretty and unusual, we liked it! Also house is located in the old building with terrace on roof, near the old part of the city and ferry terminal - it is useful if you need first ferry to Dar es Salaam. Plus guest house has a storage room for a luggage.
Some things looks cool but are not very convienent like wheel-sink in the washroom. Webs above the beds have lot of holes so they are not useful against mosquitos. It's seems that electricity in rooms switching off at the daytime - we couldn't charge our phones in this time.

Our stay in Malindi guesthouse was in more than one way excellent. The staff, headed by Mahmoud, was always very friendly and ready to assist, be it day or night. When we arrived unexpectedly during the middle of the night, Mahmoud immediately sorted out a room. In that way, we could have a much needed rest before we even started to explore Stone Town and other parts of Zanzibar. As we both suffer from physical disabilities, we could not always have breakfast on the beautiful third floor rooftop terrace. No problem. The ladies that cooked breakfast brought it down to our bedroom on the ground floor whenever we asked for it. On those occasions that we managed to climb up, we were always assisted down by caring staff members. Any queries or requests were promptly addressed effectively. Be they requests for day tours or just buying cooldrinks or other smaller things from nearby shops. We could go on and on but you should experience the politeness, friendliness, humour and care of the Malindi staff for yourself.

The stuff running Malindi Guest House are very nice and friendly people. Starting from Mr. Mahmoud, the manager, to the pretty girls who served us breakfast in the morning even to the Masai guard. All of them always welcome us and smile in our face. Very decent stuff and all of them were chosen carefully for sure Thanks to all of them
It'd be better if my room had a bigger fan. It's nothing important actually as the small fan was placed directly above the bed and we're able to sleep well
