Breakfast is nice but too small. the location is perfect. the shop is near of my location.
the room is old. the bathroom is old and something is broken. the upstairs are small and sometimes it is difficult to carry on her luggage.

Staff is very helpful and friendly. The place is within walking distance to the Ferry and places that matter within Stone Town. Very good value for the money.
Nothing really, especially if one fairly considers the amount of money paid vis-a-vis what their getting for it.

Nice hotel. Clean, nice beds. Good value for money. It's what a hotel is there for. A nice place to sleep. One of the most central places in Stone Town. Nice breakfast.
AC a bit noisy, but the room is cold after 10 minutes so just turn it off and the roof fan will do the job the rest of the night.

Very centrally located in the old city of Stone Town...It's a very budget friendly option so we had relatively low expectations which were met. Owner and family were friendly and helpful. It's extremely basic accommodation which is where it's price point is so don't expect anything else and you won't be disappointed.
Lots of stairs to climb up to room 29. Prison vibes in the room itself according to my wife...I found it quite 'historical'...The breakfast was very poor...but for the room rate that was not unexpected. To have a hot shower you have to ask at reception to have your geyser switched on 30mins before you shower which was a bit odd, but clearly a cost-saving measure.

Central place only 5 minute walk to Forodhani Gardens and the sea walk. The bed was ok but not too comfortable. Room ok with aircon and fans

Great location and good WiFi connection
1. Poor breakfast: 2 toasts, 1 fried egg, a quarter full glass of juice and a thin pancake. 2. Extra charges not shown on booking.com. 3.Hard pillows, sealed windows(I was suffocating), old facilities, broken plug socket. 4.Too many steep stairs, not good for children and old people or people with bad knees.
