The location is ideal, close to numerous restaurants and a street food market, and the gentleman at the reception desk was exceptionally kind and professional.
The room had a small window overlooking a brick wall. The room had a bad smell, and the bathroom, with its laminate roof and small window, was excessively hot. The bed was uncomfortable, the sheets unclean, and the room noisy.

Our plane arrived at 3 am. We took a taxi here from the airport and slept a couple hours before we left further.
It was good that the taxi driver showed us properly where to go, the door was a little scary at night. But ok.

Very nice location, close to harbour and Forodhani market.
Basic and simple - good for low budget travellers.
They have a proper value storing in the reception.
Aircon made a lot of noise and bathroom a bit old. But you get what you pay for.
The place is clean.

Location
The AC in the room was old and so loud and sometimes in the middle of the night making so terrible sounds that we were forced to turn it off and sleep in the hot room.
Pillows were extremely hard.

Mosquito nets for all beds, comfortable stay in central location. Breakfast provided. Air conditioning/fans in the rooms.
The only thing was poor internet connection but honestly this is the case across the country (and a great excuse to connect with the hosts and other travellers instead)

Very basic and good option if it's offering the cheapest dorm beds in Stone Town. It's not worth paying extra to stay here. Has potential but no-one seems interested.

The hotel is at a great location very close to the night food market and easy access. The staff was very friendly
It's very overpriced for what you get, it's pretty outdated and especially the bathroom was very below standard for the price I've paid..

We booked very last minute after another hotel let us down and so we arrived 10 minutes after reserving online. Good budget option with reasonable WiFi and breakfast. Good location.
Bathroom wasn't very clean, but as we booked last minute I don't think they had time to prepare the room.

We got exactly what we wanted and nothing more which was exactly what we were looking for. Great location and nice people
Breakfast was not so impressive but we got full every day so not really complaining. It did say that there were kitchen available for everyone, but it didn’t seem like this was something which was very normal when we asked. We ended up getting to use the breakfast kitchen which worked well for us.
