Very Poor
Very very quiet and dark
Be careful as their rooms and villas are not sealed, they’re swarming with malaria rich mosquitoes and insects. There are no safety and we had items stolen from us in the rooms.
2 of us had food poisoning from their food.
The resort has no shows, music, games, or anything apart from ur room, u r on ur own.
Most taxis can’t reach the resort because it is located in a hard to reach location, so they refuse to go. We have to ask 3-4 taxis and sometimes pay extra to convince them to go there because it will damage their car.
Avoid if u r looking for a good time
It seems that they’re new in the resort business and don’t know how to make great experiences.

I really can’t speak more highly of this property!
It is BEAUTIFUL!
The rooms are spacious, the pools are stunning, breakfast is delicious & the staff are super attentive and friendly. The location is right on the beach so you have the chance to see some pretty sunrises.
The dinner menu changes every night and the food is to die for!
I reccommend they a beach chair at the beach side as there is a really nice breeze.

A very beautiful place, especially the rooms on the beachfront. The staff was excellent. I recommend!!
Power! Zanzibar as whole experiences power cuts. The hotel should consider a more reliable alternative power source! For continued power supply rather than the timed generator!

The Hotel location and booked room was exceptional having our accommodation on the beach with seaview. The hotel staff were very friendly and truly accommodating and made our stay amazing. This is a lovely boutique hotel with an amazing beach setting highly recommended.
There is not much to dislike about this hotel.

Zanzibar is a true paradise, offering an escape to tranquility. Indigo Hotel Zanzibar is located away from the bustling villages, this serene retreat boasts beachfront bungalows that allow guests to wake up to the sound of the waves and stunning ocean views and feel like in a privet property. The accommodations are impeccably clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and relaxing stay. Would definitely choose to stay in Bungalow again!
The friendly and attentive staff are a highlight of the resort, ensuring guests feel welcomed and cared for. Adding to the sense of security and cultural richness, the property is also looked after by friendly Maasai people, who not only safeguard the resort but also bring a unique and authentic touch to the experience.
Hotel is a peaceful haven for anyone seeking a remote, relaxing getaway. With a bit of upgrading in the dining options in the restaurant , it could become an even more exceptional destination.
While the overall experience is delightful, there are some areas for improvement. The breakfast could use more variety, as it lacks cold cuts like ham or cheese, and the food’s flavor could be enhanced with a touch more of the island’s signature spices. Nearby restaurants have a lot better and more tasty food.
The bungalows are not equipped with air conditioners and hairdryers,
and some other rooms don’t have fridge wich is nice to have to store cold drinks.

Clean, quiet, picturesque and serene.
The mosquitoes were a buzz kill but definitely not a deal breaker. The local tour guides are very pushy when trying to walk on the beach, but that was expected.

It is a lovely property with friendly staff. It has tasty food and a beautiful layout. It felt like a private paradise tucked away, yet it was not far from Paje's downtown area.
WiFi was terrible. I could not stream any movies and downloading took hours. No AC in the room but they provided a fan that made sleeping comfortable.

Friendly staff, nice pool, clean rooms and nice breakfast.
The food was very average and seriously over priced (like a cheese and tomato toast for 13 USD). We ended up going to other places for meals as often as we could which is a bit of a shame since we would have preferred to have our meals there.

The staff and the quality of the facilities make it a highly recommended vacation destination. We have no negative comments to make, everything went very well and we had an extremely pleasant stay. The hotel can organize various excursions and activities as well as transportation to/from Stonetown.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice sea-facing villas.
Location. Far from any restaurants or sight seeing.
Food variety was limited
Beach was hard to swim in because of seaweed and there was lots of household garbage all along the beach.
No A.C., had to request fan. fridge was not working.
