-the manager for this facility is a good guy if you ever run into any issues. He's been in customer service for a while and is fully capable of calmly conducting himself in any scenario. The reason I am giving a good rating. -The location is perfect! You are pretty much close to most of the important spots in Stone Town. -The staff wasn't bad, except one lady at the front desk when we were checking out. The other pregnant staff lady, apologies I forgot her name, was very friendly and accommodating. -Value for money. Easily one of the best budget hotels in the area. I also like that It gives you that old stone town architecture feel than the more modern hotels do.
-There was one girl at the front desk that insisted we be charged for the additional full l night after we decided to check out a day earlier. I didn't care to get her name since she didn't seem that professional, but luckily the manager of the facility was there to assist. Very calm guy. Was eventually able to work something out with him. -The room only had one outlet working to charge your phone. -The bathtub could use a shower curtain, but not a huge deal.

The staff were kind, it's only about a 15 min ride to the airport, and it's cheap. The WiFi was really good.

The staff were really friendly and helpful.
Noisy area, smack in the middle of the central business district.
Not very clean, the rooms smelled mildewy
Not well organised, even though we booked via booking.com, they had no idea we had, and had to put us in a different room temporarily than the one we booked and paid for.

I booked a Twins room. But when I got a double room on the first night, he said that the Twins room was full and not sure if you booked it. The water does not flow, the air conditioner drips into the mattress, the bathroom musty, the location is scary. very little breakfast Can't pay by credit card because the swipe card machine is broken. Terrible facilities, musty rooms

The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of stone town. Emanuel and his staff were great and helped in all kind of aspects ( transport, recommendations,...). A late check-in at 11 pm was pretty easy. I will return before my flight back home
