Protea Hotel in Dar es Salaam is a beautiful and welcoming place to stay. The hotel stands out for its vibrant atmosphere, with colorful glass lamps adding charm and character throughout the space. Lovely hotel with classic Tanzanian charm and warm hospitality. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Best of all are the staff and food! Staff are flawless, courteous and kind - truly excellent service. The food is also exceptionally good, with a great breakfast spread included and delicious Swahili style dinners available. There are also some international dining options on the menu, but the Swahili food here is so good that we never tried them.
The beds were a little hard for my taste, but I tend to like softer beds.

Breakfast was varied, tasty, and staff very welcoming and helpful in getting what you needed, rooms were clean, well looked after, staff at reception very friendly. Askari at the gate also very helpful. Good location, easy access.
I cannot really say something I didn't like - it was a great stay, and nothing bothered me.

Staff in all departments were exceptionally service and customer oriented. In charge manager Sami was incredibly professional to ensure guests were cared for. Manager Dinish welcomes every guest with a signed personal note, extending personal warmth and hospitality. The food is top class. I will definitely be returning!!
