This is a great hostel with a really nice common area and helpful staff. I saw extremely varying prices for it depending on the night of my stay, but I stayed on a night when it cost US$20, which I thought was a really good price. I also really appreciated that it was easily walkable from Taipei Main Station.
The shower stalls were kind of awkward because there wasn't really anywhere to dry off without going out into a co-ed area. So kind of a damp experience even after the shower was over. Also, be aware, they only provide a hand towel; bath towels cost extra.

The common area and kitchen were good.

It is a quite and minimalistic and peaceful place, very clean and well located to discover Taipei. I'm really happy we stayed there as it was very near the Airport shuttle train and metro stations. It's fairly priced and does the job if you want to have a rest.
It has only one elevator so sometimes you need to wait a bit.

Love the location and neighbourhood, also the staffs and service. Comfy bed and pillow too. I have a good time in common area and its convenince that I can have a snack and drink without going outside ^_^
My room had some kind of smell, not sure where was it from. But we managed.

Great staff, quiet atmosphere, and considerate fellow guests. The location was great—super central but not right on the main road so it was quiet at night. I loved the "living room" concept of the lobby area which was charmingly decorated. I always felt extremely safe both in and out of the hostel.
For the price, I had no issues. But for fellow travellers expecting a social hostel (I wasn't), I would look elsewhere. And while I liked the room layout and number of beds, I thought the mattresses were too thin and blankets too thick to be comfortable.

We've stayed here a few times. We only have stayed int he private rooms so I can only comment on those, but we have made use of the common area downstairs where the dorms are and showers and they are always clean and nice. Private room is good for a couple, located on the 7th floor. Decent size and nice and quiet. The staff even let us leave our luggage as we did some other parts of Taiwan and then we came back for a second 3 day visit. I'll just stay here again next time we are in Taipei, its also a short walk to Taipei main station and Ximending.

There's a ton to like about this place:
It's super close to the Beimen station and Taoyuan airport terminal.
The rooms, while small, are comfortable and clean. You also get a private locker box to lock up your stuff.
The staff are super nice and accommodating. You can drop off your stuff before you check in and you can leave your stuff there for a bit after checking out if your flight leaves later in the day
Nanxing Night market is basically a stone's throw from the place. There are also many local breakfast joints nearby as well.
It can't be helped considering the layout of the place but it would be nice if the shower rooms were separated / closed off to dry and change easily. You get a private room to shower of course but you basically gotta dry off inside. It's not a problem for me but it might be a concern for others.

Had all the facilities you'd want/expect in a hostel.
I had a bit of a weird interaction on check-in with a staff member who didn't seem to care much or provide much info, and then saw him do the same to another guy in my dorm just 15 mins later, who was left equally confused.
The 6th-floor dorms (dorm with balcony) are far superior in every aspect - I had rated it as my best ever hostel stay just two weeks prior, but this experience seemed like your standard hostel experience, which was made more disappointing considering I paid much more this time.
Toilets and showers were maintained okay but not always clean. Less social and kitchen space for an area with more people. Less secure, less space, less clean.

I think this is the best hostel ive ever stayed. I stayed in a female dorm (4 beds), the room is not big for 4 beds, i mean you can not put your luggage inside the room bcause it will be too packed. But you can store your suitcase outside they provided the luggage room. The bed was comfortable, the room is clean. The shower works perfectly. They even provide michelar water, cotton pads,lotion, also hair tie, which as a woman im so happy to get this. The common space is so big, the refrigerator is also big so dont worry to keep you food there. It is so quiet at night so you will be able to sleep well. Taipei station is around 1.1km from the hostel or around 12mnts walking. The nearest station is beimen station-450m from the hostel. Ningxia market is 12mnts walking distance. There are also many food stalls near the hostel.
Nothing actually. But mybe one of the staff when i stayed for my first 4 days was a bit unfriendly. He is not that friendly compared to the other staff who welcomed me when i checked in on my first day. Mybe he had a bad day. Not sure. Hehe.but overall i had a good time staying at the we come hostel. And definately will stay here again if im back to taipei.
