Quiet location within a bustling area. Great access to public transport and food.
Our room was on an adjacent block without a lift. Stairs were kinda steep. Not recommended for elderly.

Location is close to both Ximen walking areas (close to metro and away from). Convenient to look for dining options. Responsive staff.
Clearly showing its age for both rooms we stayed in - had to shift from 5A to 4C due to a TV issue.

Room was clean and comfortable. Location was a ten minute walk to the Ximen metro station and close to the trendy Ximending area. It was also close to the older, more traditional areas of the city. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. They let me check-in early, kept my bicycle safely indoors in their front reception area. Jaeden gave me some helpful recommendations on what to see in Taipei and in the rest of Taiwan while cycling around the country.
Shower is in the main bathroom, not enclosed. Shower shoes are provided since the bathroom floor gets wet from showering. I didn’t mind however some may not like this setup.

The room was clean and had everything. Although it is in a central area it was really quiet. The room was equipped with complementary water and coffee.
The location is really nice in the middle of Ximending area. A lot of food and stores around. Very bustling.
There's not really a common area to hang out if you're staying in a private room. I wouldn't recommend it for people who are looking to meet other people.
The MTR is a bit far, you'll need to walk about 10 minutes from XiMen station and about 15 from the airport train.

The location is convenient for shopping since it is near the shopping area and also near MRT station. The owner is accommodating and nice. There is also a nearby self-laundry shop where you can wash your clothes, so you don't need to bring too many clothes during the trip.
You will need to ask for a change of towels and the cleaning of the room daily; it will not be clean unless you ask for it before you leave. Be specific if you also want the floors to be swept or just bed keeping and change of towels. There is also one instance where we discover, upon returning to the hotel, that the room door was left open; luckily, nothing was missing. The elevator has to be disinfected, and the moldy smell has to be taken care of. The towel also sometimes has a smell of sweat.

Super comfy and cute vibes, group of 5 friends traveling together, also has a TV so we plugged the computer into the TV to watch netflix.
The bathroom water heater is complicated and it was boiling hot, was trying to make it cold but it would constantly change temperatures.

Location is great, in the middle of Ximending, there is a laundromat nearby as well. The room is ok, just a standard hotel room, nothing special.
Couldn't open my window to get some fresh air as there is a restaurant nearby.

The room was clean, big enough and the A/C worked fine. This is a very bare bones hotel if you're a budget traveler. So just be aware your room may not have a proper shower; it's more like a showerhead connected to the sink or a water heater machine. No complaints but don't come if you're high-maintenance.

Right in Ximending area. My 1st stay in Taiwan. Fine room. Very comfy bed.
I would recommend here to be your last stay in Taipei cuz Ximending area is convenient for shopping.
A bit expensive, maybe? Or can be because it was a double room and right in the Ximending area so the price is justified, idk. My later stays in other Taiwan's cities were cheaper than this yet more satisfaction.
