We stayed twice, both times in sea facing rooms, on the 11th and 4th floor. The rooms were beautiful and the sea view was wonderful. The best rooms are 01 series so 121, 111 and so on, being large corner rooms with windows right across the room, corner and washrooms. The other sea facing rooms are also astonishingly good. The best views are from the highest floors as the lower rooms overlook the road and MRT line. The low floors are a torture due to the noise from the road, and the view is also blocked. Aim to be above the 7th floor if booking sea facing rooms. Definitely the best rooms (on account of the view) we have stayed in this year. The free breakfast was a welcome bonus. Great value overall.
We were hesitant to book this hotel as it is quite a walk away from the MRT station. However the area is well served by bus and we discovered the bus system is linked to Google maps. Just put the location you need to get to on Google Maps and check the public transport option - it connects you seamlessly to your destination. Once we discovered this link with Google Maps we no longer needed to walk to the hotel. There are probably a dozen buses connecting the hotel to MRT and also to all locations in the Tansui area (like R26 to Fisherman's Wharf from Tansui). Getting around is super easy. We would recommend this hotel even for people interested in activities in the Beitou area as it is easily connected by public transport.
Next time we travel to Taiwan we will aim to stay at this hotel for at least 7 days of our two week visit, so the entire time in Taipei. A great find at a great price.

Excellent large luxurious rooms with superb sea views provided you stay above the 7th floor. Lower floors are disturbed by road noise and should be avoided. Otherwise I would rate it the top choice in the Tamsui area. The best property (for the views of the mangrove and sea) on our two week visit of Taiwan.
The complimentary breakfast was a bonus making it great value.
Check Google maps for public transport options to travel to nearby places to visit and avoid walking to the hotel. It is very well connected by bus from the MRT stations on either side.

The location of the hotel is good, easy to travel. For the room, it is clean enough. Breakfast is good. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay.

The room was decent size for a family of four. There were two beds that can sleep two and small table with 2 cushion to sit on. The cushions were really old and out of date. When I try to sit on the cushion, I fell. The front desk people seem nice. Daily breakfast was decent although it was the same food items everyday.
The furniture was really out of date. It looks like old furniture when the hotel was established nothing was updated. The room had a strange sewage smell coming out of the bathroom. The ventilation looks like it needs some cleaning, there was black dust on the vents. Strange odors in the room like dusty and smoke even though it's suppose to be a smoke free hotel. Housekeeping came everyday into our room but didn't seem to do much but take out our trash and replace our bathroom towels. They gave cheap slippers and can only be worn once. I brought some from our previous hotel visits and they thew it away.

The bed is comfortable - not rock hard like many places, and has feather pillows and a down comforter. Shower water pressure was great. Room was immaculate. The breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, the location is across the street from a fire and ambulance station, so there are frequent sirens during the night. The room was much smaller than expected, but workable for one person.

There were a couple of things I like about the property.
First, the room was very comfortable. It was neat and clean. There were complete amenities such as the towels, toiletries, slippers, extra pillow, fridge, safe box, table and chair, TV, hair dryer, bedside table with a drawer. It even has an air humidifier. The city view from the window was also nice while having a cup of coffee. What I loved the most was the bathroom.
Second, the facilities. They already had a washing machine, a dryer and a flat iron. I hope they could let their guests bring it to their room though. The best part was the place where you can have breakfast (complimentary) had a good view of the mountain and Tamsui river. Breathtaking! Loved having my coffee there!
Third, the location. It’s near a convenience store, supermarket, park, bus stop, LRT and MRT. So it’s so easy to go anywhere.
Last but not the least, the hotel staff. They’re the most thoughtful and helpful staff I’ve ever met from all of my stays in New Taipei City. They’d ask me if I wanted housekeeping every time I left the hotel. So when I returned, my room was so clean and comfy. They also assisted me when I did my laundry and grabbing a taxi when I checked out from the hotel. Quality service, indeed!
