Rooms are a lot bigger compared to Tainan, Taipei, and Taichung.
Need to make dinner reservations the night before. I couldn’t make the reservation since I only stayed for the night.

Amazing looking hotel is an amazing spot next to the river.
The other reviews on here and on Google are far too harsh. The staff could be friendlier. They are not rude, but a little cold. There are very few sockets in the room so I feel like a power strip should be included in each room to help with this.

Well located. Well maintained. Wonderful view of the river and mountains. Tub in the room.
Would be better if they allowed guests to use the public baths midday (if they arrive before check in!)

The English breakfast is yummy. Staff are helpful and polite.
Nice and comfortable hotel lobby to rest and relax.
There is a food eatery and 7-eleven within 2-3 mins walk.
The floor of the bathroom is kind of slippery.
There is no shelter from the main building to the lift (carpark) and to another building where they served the breakfast.
Need to carry umbrella (provided by hotel) if it rains.

The breakfast had two options: American or Chinese style, and it was brought to our room in the morning on Thursday, on Friday we went to the restaurant. Good breakfast, we tried both options.
They were supposed to send a driver to pick us up from Xindian Station because we don't drive. However, the driver never showed up, we waited for nearly an hour before the front desk called us and told us to take a taxi and they would reimburse us. It was very inconvenient and a waste of time for us, very disappointing. The hotel is not cheap, and we wanted to get the most out of our stay, so this delay was very inconvenient and frustrating. Next time, please send the shuttle on time, be more clear about what it looks like and exactly where the pickup location is, and be consistent with your directions (they also told us one day there was a shuttle, when we called the next day to confirm a pickup time, they told us the shuttle was only available on weekends). Wulai isn't convenient for non-drivers, so shuttle service should be offered for a pricey hotel like Pause Landis!

The room has its own private spa bath in our room. The mountain view was beautiful. It's really a place to relax.
I expected that there was a massage service. That's the reason I chose that spa resort. But they said they didn't have massage service. Which was very disappointing.
I could hear our next door talking loudly and hear their music until midnight. The walls were very thin.

Very nice hot spring hotel for a nice hot spring spa experience. Inside the room we have own hot spring pool but we enjoyed the public one with some water pressure massage features. Not many people during our stay.
Location abit off from old street, around 10-15 mins walk.
The charging ports are so limited in the room, dont even have any beside the beds. The toilet glass door is poor design and it bangs loudly and constantly crash with the cabinet door, feeling dangerous.

We liked the good location close to Wulai old street, the very impressive lobby, the spacious room and the very large hot spring.
The fact that the restaurant didn't serve dinner after 17:00, the quality of the occidental breakfast and the fact that the rooms had carpet, which makes them harder to clean.

Pleasant
Love the design and architecture. Hot Spring public bath had a great view, was also large, well equipped and clean.
Thin walls. Child next door was laughing, chattering non-stop with her parents past midnight and we could hear all of it.

The essential oils used around the property, making the whole environment very relaxing and inviting.
The booking was supposed to include spa (all written on the voucher), but the hotel staff said no spa service available. It’s also a bit far from the old street especially if one has to walk in the rain.

The private bath in the room was really nice and it’s got a beautiful view. The breakfast was really good.
The property in general could use an update. The restaurant was’t open for dinner (did not know this when booking and the staff did not inform us of this either at check-in) and everything around the hotel closed by 7 or 8pm so the first night we ended up eating at a 7-11 which was a bit of a bummer considering it was supposed to be a romantic getaway.

Excellent hot spring facility. Beautiful view. Plenty of water brought to room. Easy walk to nearby attractions
Thin walled rooms. The private hot spring rooms are 70 USD for 20 minutes? Breakfast was mediocre. Toilet only flushes sometimes.
