Great central location - right by Taipei main, and you can walk to the busy areas like Ximending. Hotel rooms are spotlessly clean, and amenities felt 5 star.

The location is excellent. Super convenient for jumping on the High Speed Rail or MRT. Also, the staff were excellent. I would like to give huge thanks in particular to Andy in concierge - he was extremely helpful and attentive. Thanks so much Andy!

Wonderful
The location - its literally across from Taipei main station. The view from the room was also amazing because of it. Nevertheless, all the public transportation stops are within a short walking distance. There also is a mall next to the hotel.
The interior is beautiful, but wish it had a brighter lighting option (the room is dim even with all the lights on).

The hotel staff were very kind and tried as much as possible to help.
I strongly felt the design of the hotel bought down the total star level. First step into the hotel, I felt the hotel had a upmarket classy style but as soon as you go into your room, so many things made us think it was bad design. 1: toilet (flush lever does not come up), there is a unknown slide wooden door towards the bed from the toilet. 2:Open bath right next to the room door 3: when the shower door opens the floor towel gets stuck so the door gets very wet. 4: the hotel in general is very dark. The room cant get brighter and I think its the image of the hotel. To some people the hotel maybe very nice and amazing. To us and personal opinion the hotel design we would not give it a 5 star. The hotel staff were very good.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A staff member helped me wheel my luggage to the Taipei City Mall Y5 Exit. Room decor was nice but the light was dim, very hard for working. It was nice showering in the big round bath tub. The hotel is right next to a mall, which has a vegan restaurant. The Taipei Main Station is just across the road.
The hotel partners with a gym nearby and guests only need to show their keycard to access the gym. However, once you check out and leave your luggage at the hotel, you cannot access the gym. The hotel should consider giving guests who leave their luggage behind dummy guest cards, so that they can still use the gym before collecting their luggage. The gym is a bit dated, but otherwise ok.

The room size is too small. The bathroom does not have a wall. Only the right side wall, Use a glass door on the side and a curtain in front of the toilet seat. The front desk check-in waiting times are one of the worst experiences I ever had. Only one person doing check-in while there are 7 or 8 people waiting for 20 minutes to be checked in. The toothbrush, toothpaste, and Razer and saving. Cream in the bathroom. I have to call housekeeping to bring up a set of toy rooms. Before checking out I called the house if they could bring plastic bags for my dirty clothes. Waited for 15 minutes no show. I walk outside the Hallway and bump into a housekeeping lady if she can get one for me in no time she find one for me.

no hospitality that I couldve expected any other hotels. front lady on 6th floor wasnt pleased about how honors to be worked at such a wonderful hotel. other than her, hotel is nice.

The hotel surprised me with a birthday fruit tart which i thought was a nice touch.
The buffet breakfast was not impressive, of all the seven hotels i stayed on this trip ( i joined a tour) Palais the Chine had the worst breakfast buffet, limited variety and some items were not up to par. i did mentioned to the front desk upon checking out.

Best hotel I've stayed in so far. The sound system is perfect, cozy bed, good size bathtub. They even prepared our bed mid-day and gave us two bottles of Brands chicken essence. Had a really good time with my partner here.

Before booking the hotel, I explicitly asked if it is possible to use the shower facilities after check out due to a very late flight. The staff assured me that it is possible to use the shower of the gym which belongs to the hotel. At the reception after check out they denied that. That is very misleading and we have asked beforehand. Otherwise we would not have booked it. That is not acceptable for a 5 star hotel to mislead customers in booking the hotel by promising something that cannot be fulfilled!

Nice hotel close to the main station.
Duration of Check-in and check-out is very long because there is not enough staff, then we lost of lot of time. The pool is not in the hotel but 5 min away in a fitness club, so you have to walk in street to go there.
