Private beds and large lockers for belongs. The location is very close to Raohe market and the breakfast is very nice. Laundry machines are available and reception is on 5th floor of the building.
The bathroom situation was a bit weird. The toilets (3 of them for women) were out past reception by the elevators and the showers for the women were semi private and only a few of them (I think 3 or 4).

Ok part of town Not in the best of place for first-time tourists, however it's just 12 minutes walk to yellow mrt. Staff professional. Exceedingly clean. Superior bedding, Maybe the best of any of the hundred hostels I've been in. the rooms themselves are really big and they have a couch. lots of room. very comfortable. the breakfast in the morning is outstanding. lots of food, soup, eggs, coffee, orange juice. really great! like any place in Taipei on the weekends it can be pretty expensive. But definitely is super value during the week. As I said, possibly one of the best dorm rooms that I've been in, lots of space. the quality of the surfaces, the tile, the color scheme everything reeks of exceptional quality and aesthetics. surprisingly great where many hostels fall short. (unfortunately the old building does have septic gas smell in the bathroom but this is not a reflection on the cleanliness or the staff)

location a bit far but if you want to experience other areas of taipei other than ximen than come here

The closet where we stored our valuables smelled awful. I didn’t want to leave my clothes in there for the fear they would take on the awful stench. It smelled like 1000 dirty feet in dirty socks

I liked that there was free breakfast and plenty of space in the bed areas. They also had free lockers to use—just be careful how you use them, since there are instructions, and if you don’t read them carefully, they can make loud noises if you mess up lol. It’s close to public transportation, and the staff are really nice!
I didn’t like that you need to have your room key card in the bed areas to use the lights and charging ports. Also, there was no AC in the bathroom area across the hallway or in the laundry facilities upstairs and on the first floor, so it was very hot. Even in the bedrooms, it took a while for me to cool off. Additionally, there were at least 14 beds in the female dormitory room, which was new for me, but it was fine for the two nights I was there.

Location - I drive up to Taipei from the south. I'm close to the least expensive car park I know in Taipei. (still seeking FREE parking spots - I'm onto a lead! Wish me luck. There's a nearby park and market street. bike and subway get me anywhere, fast. AND it's the only Taipei location I've stayed in where it's restful for me to arrive, to be there, and to stay. I'm grounded and at ease for all Taipei offers.
ALSO they improve ALL. THE. TIME. This time: morning buffet butter was room temperature (last time straight out of the fridge, so melting was an issue for me.) They seem to have caring capable eyes on everything, and so they deal with tiny things, fast.
Um. Nothing comes to mine. Everywhere I looked, everything I interacted with was in gentle relaxed order. That's amazing for a hostel/hotel.

Omg this hostel was amazing. Female only dorm. Privacy curtains. Clean showers and toilets. There were air vents in the beds! And counters with mirrors to quick get ready if you needed. Breakfast was a huge buffet with a mixture of asian foods and breads.View of 101 from the dorm window! Comfy beds. Lockers were good with separate number locks. Staff was really nice as well. There's a bar right outside the 1st floor entrance which is super cute. 7-11 across the street and only a few min walk to Raohe, so great location!
No shelf in the beds to put phones on at night. Outlets were at the foot of the bed. I'm just being nitpicky really. I've stayed in hundreds of hostels and this was easily in the top 5.

Free breakfast, the toilet is regularly cleaned and staff is raletively helpful.
The toilet is really far away from the room, you need to beep out two doors and cross the dining area then reception to get there, it is pain in the x to go to the toilet during the night.
