Staff: One younger staff we spoke to in english at the front check-in counter was friendly and very helpful in assisting us with storing our luggages after checking out and also helped us book a taxi to the airport.
Cleanliness of the hotel: The room and bed sheets were clean.
Room: Looked just like the pictures advertised and was spacious.
Staff: One staff seemed quite irritated/ annoyed when we tried clarifying about the hotel facilities with her; not sure if this was due to the staffs limited english which made communication hard or if it was her attitude.
Cleanliness of the hotel: Several of the provided shower towels had brown stains and/ or have a very strong unpleasant chlorine smell.
Breakfast: Considering that it was "Free" it wasn't bad, however as someone who grew up in Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines, I found alot of the dishes available lacked flavor (lacked salt etc.
Gym: Has no mirrors and closes quite early (9pm)

The in room hot spring is great.
The gym facilities are old and run-down. The breakfast is not very good. One of the fruits they provided was so bad that I had to spit it out.

The place is close to the metro subway station and convenient. It appears that the hotel has been remodeled a few years ago. Th breakfast is decent. The hot spring bath in the room is convenient and comfortable.
The hotel does NOT provide any one-time washing items. Towels etc. has been cut to the minimum. The wifi provided in the hotel is somewhat obsolete -- disconnected very frequently and had to call for service to reset the main box. It has becoming a routine for us.

Hot springs!
You need to pay twice. First, they charged you about two weeks before your arrival. Then, they charged you again during your check-in without any notice. Getting an explanation from the manager is hard because they barely speak English. The first transaction will return on your balance for about two weeks.
The room looks a bit old, but OK. The bath could be more comfy.
Breakfast is so-so.
Overall, the score will be higher if the story does not include two payments.

Location was great, we mainly caught the bus from Huakaifugui bus station to nearby MRT station. We didn't really enjoy breakfast, there were lots of tour groups and the choices were minimal, so we mostly had breakfast outside. We love that the water for the bath is really the authentic hot spring from Wulai. Having a bath it in it for few days really makes your skin smooth as baby! Defs a bonus as we don't have a car to travel to Wulai, having the hot spring in our hotel room is amazing!
Breakfast can have more varieties.

None. Our clothing was stolen in the room. Management didn't do anything. It s a scam. No hot spring in a so-called hot spring hotel. Also, no hot shower. Water was barely warm. Not hot at all. Also, toilet was blocked n sewage came out on the floor.

Water quality
I couldn’t communicate with the staff because they didn’t speak English. The hotel had a heavy smell of mold and facilities were outdated. I actually spotted a few molds. Very far from the main area of Taipei. Most importantly, I picked this hotel because they posted that they offer airport shuttle service but they messaged me after I stayed a night that they don't run shuttles anymore.

Toilet not working properly told reception twice then came a plumber he said he can’t fix it need replacement . Until I check out no replacement at all . The plumber also cause the water leaking on the floor . The floor all wet very inconvenience.

The hot spring water bath in the room was a real treat! The breakfast buffet was very nice too. Room was spacious and beds comfortable.
Exceptional value for around NT$3000.
It is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station. Not too far, but something to consider.

Curtains let in a lot of light in the morning. Also the emergency light is like a spotlight, way to bright at night!
Lot of noise from the hallway and other rooms.
At the breakfast buffet you have to clean up your own stuff. Staff doesn't really seem to care there.
