In room hot spring tub - awesome. Proximity to Yangmingshan National Park is great. We used it as our base for a couple of nights. Had a comfortable stay.
Furnishings and facilities are a bit dated.

The non management staff were friendly despite many guests complaining about the misleading pictures and advertising.
Crossposting this feedback and review that I left for the management staff:
For context, we stayed 3 Night at Caesar Park Hotel Banquio (8.9 rating) with a fantastic experience.
This hotel has an 8.0 rating that is very misleading. I would rate it at 1.5 /10… the only redeeming quality being the friendly college staff desperately playing the violin as this Titanic esque hotel sinks to the bottom under terrible management.
Our experience with this hotel has been very bad and misleading. The staff are friendly but seem unable to improve any of the conditions due to lack of managerial guidance.
The pictures listed online (booking.com and the website) are not accurate AT ALL. It appears that pictures being used are from 5+ years ago. The entire facility has fallen into a complete state of disrepair. The furniture, carpets, and walls are severely degraded and neglected.
The gym floor carpet is soaking wet and molding, the ceilings are leaking, the equipment is rusted and neglected. There is no laundry service available as listed. The curtains are stained and torn. The bedsheets, pillow cases, pillows, and mattresses are all stained and there are signs of bed bugs. Spare blankets appear to not have been washed and after 20minutes of use we both experienced itching. The are marks, scratches and dents on nearly every wall.
The showers haven’t been cleaned and have soap-scum/grime all over. There’s not enough water pressure to flush the toilet completely. We’ve lost complete water pressure for over 30 minutes since we’ve arrived yesterday. The sauna is lukewarm, the tiles are falling apart, the privacy fence is broken and just left in a pile.
This is NOT the 8/10 star experience especially for the price. The pictures, description, and reviews are incredibly misleading and borderline fraudulent. I have witnessed multiple others guest complaining at the front desk and others straight cancelling and leaving.

The swimming pool is very big, and you can do your line.
The hot spring also good.
The restaurant is nice with a beautiful view on the swimming pool.
The deluxe room was perfect ?
The rice is good from the proposal, the personal was very kind and helpful.
The hostel must be refreshing before it could be too late.

The hotel is in an excellent location, making it easy to explore the area. The breakfast was enjoyable with a decent variety, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The room interior is quite dated and would benefit from renovation to improve comfort. Some restroom fixtures, such as the toilet and taps, are old and not functioning properly. The door lock also seems worn out and is difficult to open.

It was our first time trying the hot springs. I booked the deluxe room with a private hot spring bathtub, which we enjoyed having for our use. Our family could enjoy the hot spring bath as much as we wanted. The hotel was located in a quiet environment. I enjoyed the quiet and calmness.
We also enjoyed the breakfast, there were many selections.
The hotel required some maintenance work. The hotel room is fine, however, there are cracks and stains in the plasterboard wall and ceiling that require some touch-up work. The restaurant looked tired and dated, I suggest they change the carpet and touch up the stains on the ceiling; it will make the restaurant feel more presentable.
There are not many choices on the dinner menu, which could be due to not many people dining in the restaurant. Maybe they can change the menu to hotpot, it will be easier to manage.

The breakfast is delicious and amazing! The public bath/spa was nice. The staff was nice and helpful.
It smelled very strongly of sulfur outside, lobby, stairs, hallways, and in the room. The room is clean but falling apart. The handle to the bathroom was broken. There was hair under my pillow.

A bit run down for a 4 star, wouldn't be happy if i paid full price. Kettle didn't work, couldn't adjust the air con. Restaurant had run out of almost everything and the quality didn't at all match the price.

Beautiful bath in our room and amazing having a full 25m pool for swimming.
The smell of sulphur was very strong. The property and facilities were aging and the location is very isolated unless you have a car.

Having the onsen in the room was a nice treat, but the communal one downstairs was also excellent. The set menu in the restaurant was also great
If you need to go to the shop or try other restaurants, it's a bit of a walk to the centre of Yangmingshan. And unfortunately, it is along a road.
