Comfortable bed. Hot shower. Reasonable buffet breakfast.
Nice view of the waterway and bridges from the room windows.
Convenient location for my cycling trip.
Free laundry (washer dryer) available on the top floor.
No heat in room. Just AC.

The lake view and water pressure are great, and the breakfast buffet is superb, The staff are friendly and helpful.
There is no heater in the room, and it is outdated, and soundproof should be better.

The bath was Nice and big. Breakfast was acceptable .
The honeymoon suit was not decorated as per the pictures. We had to but tooth brushes . There was no lake view as stated in the pictures .

Great location and views, friendly staff. Interesting decor.
Bathroom was very dirty, the toilet, toothpaste still on taps, hair all over shower floor, the drinking cups. The carpet is also very dirty. It made me feel uncomfortable to sleep there wondering what else isn't clean.

Very retro, i.e. not renovated. I even had a computer with a diskret drive in my room! Unfortunately it didn't work, but you can't expect everything to be perfect at this price level.
It was the first hotel where I've gotten complementary (unused) condoms, and to add the room came with a security chain if I found the condoms too dodgy.

close to bitan, about an 8 minute walk to the mrt.
very old and dated furnishings, bed pillows had hair on them, and they recently removed all disposable items from the bathroom for environmental purposes (they claim), and only included shower gel and shampoo in dispensers. I applaud environmentally conscious decisions, but this felt more like a money saving opportunity for them instead. at least include hand soap at the sink!

We had a nice stay, and I would stay again, but I have some comments that might be viewed negatively by others.
We stayed in one of the 'view suites' on the 6th floor. Unfortunately the hotel has billboard signs on a neighboring building at the height of the 6th floor, so I think you will prefer being 7th floor or above if you want to see the river without obstruction.
The hotel itself is somewhat dated and our room had some lightly peeling wallpaper and noticeable rust on the bathroom door. It was perfectly clean though.
The breakfast was a small buffet, and we were satisfied with it, but given this is Taipei I think I prefer plenty of breakfast places around the city.
There is a small parking area below the hotel if you are in a car, and its <10 min walk from the MRT if not.

The view from my room was stunning!
The hotel is across the river from the Xindian MRT station. It's about a 750m walk across the bridge to the station. There is a 7-11 and a dumpling restaurant very close to the hotel.
The breakfast options were a little limited. It's mostly Asian options and all western options are fried food. They did have excellent coffee though!

The shower was spacious. Good location, a short walk across the bridge from the MRT station.
Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Comfortable bed. Close to food establishments and the boating area.
Room fittings were a bit outdated, and the TV didn't work very well. The picture was quite distorted. The room had a nice view, but it was unfortunately obstructed by a sign board.

Distance (10mins walking) from Xindian MRT station and crossing Bitan wooden bridge (rather difficult with large baggage’s).

This is the third time we have stayed while on holiday to Xindian, because the hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, close to the MRT, the view is romantic on Lake Bitan, the rooms are clean and comfortable.
