It’s near the Zhongshan Elementary station which u can connect to other lines when commuting.
The receptionist staff can be intimidating but the cleaners are friendlier and accommodating.

Free breakfast was a nice touch. My partner and I also enjoyed playing billiards together. We also enjoyed the massage chairs! The location is also quite nice. There were a lot of restaurants and convenient stores just around the block. And it was close to several main locations like the Taipei Rose Garden, the Taipei Fine Arts Museum etc.
Since we booked a place in Chiayi before this hotel, we couldn't help but compare the value we got for what we paid. But my chief complaint was really how I found a used tissue inside one of the drawers. It made me and my partner doubt the cleanliness of the place. I hope the scent for the shampoo could also be improved.

Its my 2nd time around there. I love that they have breakfast buffet. You are near the station and other places too. Near taipei. I also love the massage chair. Also near carrefour for pasalubongs(souvenirs)
They just dont have a cabinet in the room but you can rent a personal cabinet outside of the room for small items.

The staff was super helpful. Everything was tidy neatly. , They have so many amenities: massage chairs, pool table, waiting lounge, water fountain, and DECENT AND POWERFUL SHOWER (good pressure and the temperature is hot right away). They have body wash and shampoo, so if you are a curly girl, take your conditioner. They have spare slippers and baskets to keep your belongings. They speak great English, help right away. Overall, the best hostel in Taiwan that I've been to.
I highly recommend this place! Nothing that I didn't like in particular. Excellent location and the MRT it's just a 2 minute walk away. I do have a suggestion... more of a request, breakfast could be extended an extra hour ?

This is my second time in Hotel Fun and it was a big improvement as compared to my first time in this hotel. Housekeeping must be given a raise because it was a total turnaround. Everything: bedroom, shared bathroom, linen and public spaces were so clean. I was glad that the gentle male staff at the Front Desk processed my check-in. He was efficient, no fuss, no drama. It was unlike my first time when grumpy ladies at the reception I encountered during my first visit. You wondered why I came back? It is because of the price this hotel offers. Very reasonable with modest buffet breakfast.

The location is not far from the MRT on the orange line.
The staff’s attitudes were terrible. Lack of professionalism and very low standards. I found several other humans hairs in the bed and under the pillows after room cleaning. I’m a redhead and these body and head hairs were black. After I told this to the front desk staff, the response was “So what do you want? Do you want your room cleaned again?” The noise insulation is extremely bad and you can hear every sound in the corridor, upstairs and downstairs, and through all walls. You might as well just take the dorm room, and prepare yourself to no sleep well and be woken up throughout the night.

Room was clean and exactly as the pictures show. Location within 4 min to next subway station.
The breakfast restaurant was old and from my point of view not very clean. You have to clean your own table with paper , so table and floor were both sticky. Breakfast was Chinese style , so your option is coffee, toast with butter and jam. Breakfast end at 10h and 15 minutes before staff starts cleaning and you are told to leave soon.
