Wonderful

-the next to the hotel, there was supermarket
-the small bath for baby and the baby bed were arranged.
-lighting selection was bit complicated
-breakfast price was bit overpriced
-the list was closed during the certain time (midnight for security reason)
-the tv was old
-the towels were given only two big one and two small ones everyday. Baby towels were not provided.

The room was a reasonable size and the breakfast had a great selection. It is located a little way away from the hustle of the main streets of Taipei which makes it a little quieter.
Location did matter as we needed to catch trains frequently.

We booked this hotel specifically for the gym but it only had a couple of treadmills and nothing else. Not even a few dumbbells, or a yoga mat. I consider this false advertising and do not recommend this hotel.

Wonderful
The room was very comfortable and spacious, had good lighting and the hotel is luxuriously designed and had fresh flowers in the lobby. The bathroom was good and spacious with both a bath and a shower that had very good flow of hot water. We received a treat upon our arrival to the room for our honeymoon which was really nice. The room was cleaned every day which was also nice.
Free coffee and tea in the spacious lobby were a good comfortable addition.
It felt pretty old fashioned, like a hotel from the 90’s that froze in time. Also there was some dust buildup on the bathroom phone. Otherwise everything was mostly clean so it wasn’t such a problem.

Raymond at the front door is the best!!!!! He is the nicest and went out of his way to help us. He was so knowledgeable and spoke really good English. My son had been in tawain for 3 months learning Mandarin, so he took time to talk and help my son. It really meant alot. Every hotel needs a Raymond! The front desk gentleman with the longer hair was super nice and funny too. The breakfast was a little wild, but good. Location was the best! Walking distance to taipei main station, night market and different shopping districts!
The only downside was when we were leaving at 6am, the gentleman at the front desk chased us down outside (with our ride already there to take us to the airport) to ask where are keys are. I told him, we left them in the room. Then when we were ready to pull away he ran back out there saying we needed to pay for dry cleaning. Not sure why it wouldn't have just been added to the room bill. I had to go back in and pay with 5 people and the driver waiting.

The hotel was in a great location, close to a number of tourist spots without being in the crazy thick of it. I stayed for a week and as a solo female traveler, felt the area was safe even at night. The room they gave me was incredibly huge, it had a living room zone, a bed that I think was a California king, a full desk with office chair, and the bathroom had a shower and separate full sized bath. Also the place had a walk-in closet. Just so much space for one person. There was also this ingenious control panel right next to the bed, that controlled all of the lights and temperature in the room, so I could control everything without getting up. Why can’t all hotels have this? All the staff were super nice and helpful, and there were plenty of spaces to sit in the lobby. Would totally stay here again.
Maybe one thing that other people mentioned was a cigarette smell, but maybe it was coming from one of the rooms (because some days I couldn’t smell it). The place was super clean though, like I even took a bath in the bathtub and I usually wouldn’t if I felt that the place wasn’t that clean.

Room and lobbies and eating area all very beautiful and high quality design and materials. My breakfast not included but we paid for it one day. Beautiful breakfast room and large buffet but the food was meh compared to the other hotel I stayed in. Location was great, near Dihua district and frequent buses that took us everywhere. LOVED the huge square rain shower, like being under a waterfall. My daughter loved the separate deep tub.
We absolutely froze in room. It was warmer outside than inside. I had heater on 22 celsius and it said heat but cold air came out of vent and it stayed at 19 or 20.
