Wonderful
The room was comfortable and I liked it that I could adjust the room temperature and the brightness of the lights using the iPad.
The location was perfect - within walking distance (up to 20 minutes) to Beimen MRT station and Taipei Main Station, and the surrounding historical buildings.
It would be great if there was clear instruction on how to unplug the sink, as well as a kettle ready in the room, rather than needing to call reception for it. But these are small matters. The reception was helpful and ready to help.

Hotel location is 10 minute walking distance to Ximen MRT and Beimen MRT, 15 minute walking distance to Taipei Main Station. The modern interior design is visually appealing. The second floor lounge is comfortable and the lounge staff are friendly and attentive. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. View from the room was very nice.
The lobby functional space needs improvement; the walking space is too narrow to allow guests with luggage to easily get to and from the hotel entrance and elevators.
Although the large windows of the guest rooms boast a great view of the city, the room functionality leaves much to be desired. Lighting, blinds, curtains, HVAC, and housekeeping requests are controlled by an iPad. The iPad is outdated, and software used to control of mentioned functions of the room can be buggy, at best. Whenever I brought the iPad from idle mode, it always took at least 20 to 30 seconds to boot up before allowing me to turn on lights, open blinds, adjust room temperature, turn on the TV, etc. It was very annoying when the TV volume adjustment was unresponsive or lagged behind the iPad controls. If you make the effort to implement digital enhancements, they should work well. Otherwise, they are just a burden to the guest.
For all of the digital enhancements and controls of the room, ironically, there is no toilet bidet. Previous to this hotel, I stayed in a cheaper hotel nearer to Taipei Main Station, and it had a toilet bidet.
The breakfast buffet had a decent spread. Unfortunately, there was a lack of whole grain breads or cereals, and there was no green or Taiwanese tea. The only teas available were Western: English breakfast tea, Earl Grey, and a fruit tea.
My overall experience at this property was underwhelming. I think there are better properties with better value for the price point. It is not likely I will be returning to CitizenM.

Citizen M was clean and functional. The room reminded us of a cruise ship cabin (although larger). The bed and bedding were comfortable and the shower pressure was amazing. Everything had a spot and there was a lot of tech details in the room. The location is near to the airport MRT station so it was easy upon check out to walk with suitcases. We did not use it, but the lounge/work space on the second floor looked nice. They will store your baggage for you for the day.
The check in area is a bit chaotic and very small. Access to the Taipei metro is a bit of a walk as the main station is huge and so it is deceiving on a map! But, overall, still a good location.

Techy hotel, you get everything done very fast. Rooms are small, but cosy.
Bed is not very comfortable and at this price point you would expect some more amenities included (also a gym would be nice)

Very friendly staff, wonderful breakfast. Comfortable and clean. Great water pressure and hot water in the shower. Short walk to the Taipei main train station and high speed rail. A little pricey for the size of the room but overall no complaints. Would recommend.
The immediate surrounding area is kind of boring and not much to do but it’s a short walk to the popular area of Ximending.

The room was fantastic and very comfortable bed, lots of natural light with a great view of the Taipei river. Cool technology in the room to control tv, music, lighting, temperature and blinds. Bathroom is small but super nice and clean. Check in was easy and hassle free. Location is alright, near the main stations with a bit of walking.
The TV in my room was not working properly, and I could not cast my media to it. The use of the iPad to control room facilities is a cool idea, but it reloads/reconnects to the network every time you open the iPad resulting in delays to the task you're trying to do.
