A super clean and comfortable hotel in an excellent location in Da'an, near lots of restaurants, the park and public transport. The breakfast was exceptional and changed every day. There's also handy laundry facilities. I highly recommend this hotel

Great breakfast that changes every day, and with espresso. 5 min walk to the MRT. Clean and comfortable room. Very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay here and would come again.

Breakfast actually quite nice, nice hotel, room clean and comfortable, good location about 10 min from MRT station with two lines (red and yellow). With MRT about 10 minutes to main station and about the same to Taipei 101.
Local neighborhood clean and business like but with many side street markets nearby. Convenient stores nearby. There were some restaurants but I did not check them out.
I also did not check out hotel facilities, if any (i.e. I needed a good, safe and clean place to sleep).
For 2 nights as a single tourist ok - but no place to hang shirts (no wardrobe at all) if one is on a business trip and probably a bit small for two people but I have no comparison as this was my first time in Taipei.

Our 2nd time staying in Citizen Hotel. In the city but away from the usual hustle and bustle like Ximen which was perfect for us. Nearby bus stations and MRT Dongmen station. The free breakfast spread was what we came back for; simple but with a good mix of Taiwanese and international dishes. We had bought quite a lot and good thing that they have a luggage scale available. Staff were very accommodating and nice. Near to Dongmen Market, a Sukiya branch, and a 7-Eleven.

Friendly staff, good breakfast. Nice amenities, they left a cart with coffee, tea and other items in the hall at all times.
The pillows and spare comforter was very nice.
Alot of couples and families at the hotel, would stay again
The bed was a bit hard and difficult to get a full night's sleep.

The Welcoming staff are a delight and very helpful with everything you need. The staff will organise a pick up from the airports or trains at any hour.
Cannot fault the Citizen Hotel…. Good courtesy breakfast to start the day. Good location, taxi always handy.

Excellent breakfast; rooftop coin laundry with free detergent was a real plus. Good shower and pillows. I chose it because it was within walking distance of the meeting point for day tours I had booked. It did not disappoint— close to metro as well. All in all, a very comfortable stay.

The staff here were super efficient and friendly. Breakfast buffet had many options. We appreciated that there is a laundry facility for us to use since some hotels charge laundry by piece but they have a self service laundry. Quiet location and room for guests who are light sleepers like myself. They also provided a fridge and free bottled water daily.

Absolutely perfect stay!
I arrived a bit earlier than the check-in time, and they kindly let me check in with no extra charge — such a nice surprise.
The room was fantastic: clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The bed and linens were simply amazing — soft, fresh, and made for a great night’s sleep.
Everything was provided in abundance and thoughtfully arranged, making my stay very easy and convenient.
Breakfasts were also a delight — fresh, tasty, and with a good variety.
The staff was polite and professional throughout.
Overall, everything was top-notch. I’m completely satisfied and would gladly stay here again.
I honestly couldn’t find a single downside. Everything was just perfect from start to finish.
