Disappointing
Good location. The hot spring tub is a good size. Breakfast was ok. The staff was polite. Rooms have private wifi.
The comforter was dirty. The room photos on booking are misleading. The air conditioner worked but it was very dated. The plug chain came off the drain for the tub, which was remedied the next day. At 12 midnight someone rang our room. The hotel requests that you leave your key with them when you go out... All this made our first night less than pleasant. The room lock is a single deadbolt and chain.

Wonderful
The location was ideal. Across the road from the Thermal Valley Park and Hot Springs Museum. Good eating and grocery stores nearby. Also near rural bus service to go up into the mountain.
I loved having a hot spring tub in my room.
Comfortable bed, good aircon and room service.
Breakfast was good and varied daily, hot and fresh choices.
Staff were very pleasant and cheerful.
Tip: there is a lively little cafe bar inside the Carrefour store beside the hotel.
I stayed for 10 days in a room with a frosted window that needed to be kept closed due to directly opening onto an area of pipes and drainage. A short stay would be ok but for my long stay the room soon felt closed in.

It was less than a 5 minute walk from the Xinbeitou train station. The staff warmly greeted me and gave me a nice size room with a window and a tub that had hot spring water. I looked forward each day to the breakfast, which had different Chinese dishes. The location is within walking distance to numerous restaurants, a great bakery nearby,it and a lovely park across the street. This was my second stay here and probably will be back a third time.
There was no electrical outlet on one side of the bed. Also, all light controls for the lamps near the bed were controlled on one side of the bed.

Wonderful polite and helpful staff, great breakfast anf they were very accommodating to us as vegans. Loved the washer and dryer on site and that the hotel was close to the MRT.
The bed was so hard and extremely uncomfortable that it prevented us from getting much sleep.

This is an awesome little hotel a 2-minute walk from the New Beitou (Xin Beitou) MRT station .. I loved that it had a hot spring bath in every room and that made the whole experience very lovely. The staff was very helpful in answering my questions and were patient with my limited Mandarin (so sometimes I used Google Translate.). The Chinese Breakfast was very substantial and filling and they also have vegetarian options available. So close to Beitou Park, bus stop, Hell Valley, and other amazing sites in Beitou that it was fantastic.
Also it has a delightful art collection !!!
Sometimes the hotel had a strange smell but it was probably due to the white sulfur water of the hot spring baths. For my tastes, the bed was a tiny bit soft, but most people would enjoy that.
If you want a big western breakfast, this is probably not the best breakfast place. (But if so, why would you be in Taipei?)

Wonderful
Hot spring tub was fantastic, wish I could take it home with me. Breakfast was also very good. Hotel furnishings were slightly dated but not run down, excellent value for the price- I honestly wish I had booked a longer stay here. Easy access on public transit.

Been here twice, love this onsen.
It would be nicer if there is a window in the bathroom for ventilation. The carpet is a bit old which makes the room outdated.

- The receptionist is friendly
- Hot spring water inside the room is the best. I stay a couple of hours soaking while playing handphone
- The room is clean
- The bed is comfortable, does not take long before I fall sleep
- Breakfast is a plus
- The building looks rundown not maintaine
- The carpet at the corridor looks very old although inside the room was ok

Large room, nice private hot tub, good wifi/internet, good local breakfast
No hot water in the mornings, cool showers.
It's an older hotel and could use a remodel but they make a good effort to keep it up.
Check in time is 7PM (1900), we were able to get into our room around 4PM but we had to wander around town for a few hours.

First, I loved my room! Huge, comfortable and the bathroom has an awesome tub where you can draw hot spring water! Staff is lovely and helpful. Location is across the street from the subway and also the bus that takes you anyplace you want to go. Walk up the hill and see the hot springs. It was a perfect stay in Beitou! Huge breakfast included in the price.

Everything was perfect.
The real thermal water tap in the bathroom was absolutely insane and I am writing this from Budapest, which is called the Spa capital of the world. After those long and tiresome sightseeing days it was like returning to heaven, every single evening, and soak it off in that amazing, healing water.
For us Europeans, the breakfast was excellent. We had a chance to try many of Taiwanese specialties there, and some items were way much better than on most of those terribly over-hyped night markets.
We stayed there twice and for the second time we have chosen a much better room than the previous, but it was right next to the elevator. It was a bit noisy on weekend mornings, but probably it was due to the peculiarity of communication style of a bunch of some old ladies:))
Maybe the door needs a bit more sound insulation.
Other than that, everything was suuuper good!
