Location, the hotel’s concept and interiors, the very helpful and friendly staff, the lounge areas (2nd floor and 2 lobbies)
It’s not something that I don’t like but it would be nice to have more variety in snacks and also consider having bidets in the bathrooms

Liked the location! It was near the train station and Ximending Street. Aside from that, although the hotel didn't offer a breakfast buffet, there were biscuits, chips, cup noodles and packed sandwich available for all guests in their 2nd floor. Drinks were also free, the common area was also clean.

It had great staff, great service, rustic ambience, free snacks, water/juice, and instant noodles all day, free laundry/dryer. It's really good for a smaller, more rustic/old hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located 5 minutes walking-distance away from the popular tourist areas of the Ximen district and the Ximen metro station. There are lots of tiny food and massage shops nearby.
It's not cheap for a 2-star hotel. We paid $180/day for 2 beds for a week. Pretty much every hotel in Taipei is an expensive tourist trap, and this is one of them. The median Taiwanese income is 4x less than in the US, but the average Taipei hotel seems to be more expensive at a similar quality.
It's also not a modern hotel. There are parts of it that could be cleaner and more well-maintained like the snacking/eating area. The public restrooms are a bit small.
The surrounding neighborhood is bit on a dirty side.

I rate it 9/10! It was a cute and cozy place to stay near the Ximending area.
Just a 5-minute walk to Ximending and The Red House. We were also able to book an Uber easily coz the pinned location is accurate. Cool design, comfy beds, an interesting selection of snacks and drinks in the 2nd floor, and we even used the laundry room as much as we needed. I really loved the aesthetic of the place! The staff were also great — they speak and understand english well, thoughtful and accommodating to our needs. There’s a family mart and a Starbucks nearby. Lots of restaurants and interesting food to try along the street.
Definitely worth it to walk around the area!
We got 5 different rooms without windows. One out of the 5 rooms had a moldy smell (especially when we set the room temp a bit higher). All the other rooms were fine.
The bathroom was spacious and very clean, but there was no bidet. We wished there was a bidet: just a personal preference for us though!

Staff & amenities are excellent.
The hotel provided us from the airport,the north coast & to the airport for our 6 day stay In Taiwan with no hassle, free drinks ,snacks & laundry was a big help for us family.

Great location. Walking distance to a night market and to the metro station which is at the entrance of the walking street market . Very nice room . I was shocked at all the free snacks as d drinks available to the guests every day of their stay . There are plenty of restaurants all over .
