Overall I think the staff and the facilities were amazing. The only struggle I got is that since every bed has some separators, the air conditioning wasn't flowing on the beds directly and I felt a little too warm at night. Apart from this small detail, I enjoyed my stay in the hostel.

The location was easily accessible and the facility were wonderful. We stayed in the hotel floors of the location and found them very comfortable. Beautiful rooms with high pressure showers and awesome shower/soap products.

I stayed in a 12 bed dorm. The capsules were spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and roomy. The common area was clean, with good music, a nice balcony, and a full kitchen. Staff was very helpful! I took the brown sugar bun cooking class and enjoyed it. I would say this is geared towards wealthier clientele, with some pricy restaurants and shops downstairs. The hostel bed price was quite good though!
It was a bit hard to find the right door to get into the hostel!

The hotel offered a very comfortable and spacious room. The room and the rest of the hotel are very well designed and have a very cool feel to them. The common room (shared with the hostel) offers a great free coffee/tea selection with whole coffee beans, a grinder, and pour over equipment. The space is very comfortable and creates a great environment. Honestly I wish more hotels had this kind of friendly and relaxing atmosphere. It’s also located in a great part of town so it’s easy to get around.

The space was beautiful and made for a very welcoming comfortable stay. Very new and clean and the staff were very kind. Even staying in the shared dorms this was the best hostel experience I’ve had! Shared dorm was spacious and location is great to explore Tainan. Highly highly recommend staying. Large well stocked communal kitchen space as well

It was very clean and beautiful. The staff is wonderful, the girl, Olivia, went above and beyond the first night as I had misplaced my wallet/passports. I would definitely recommend and come back.

Very clean, 24 front desk and super nice shared facilities. There’s lots of privacy in the dorm rooms because you have your own cube, and the lockers are large enough to hold a small suitcase. The location is perfect.
Lack of ventilation in the cubes in the dorms. The room itself has good AC but the curtains block everything and make it quite hot.

I've been visiting Tainan regularly from adolescence into adulthood since I feel deeply connected to my parent's birth city. My uncle is a local and he recommended UIJ for its central location. Just a few steps from the hotel, there's a juicery, guava stall, grilled eel restaurant, soy milk and tofu maker, barley/green tea house, rare beef soup stand, and sticky rice wrapped in leaves. When I travel with my partner, their guest rooms are fantastic. When I travel alone, their hostel accommodations are perfect. Both are spotless and comfortable. The best part is 24 hr access to their lounge and patio shared by all guests. The kitchen, dining, and living spaces are seamlessly integrated and there's a laundry room to the side. There's plenty of space to stretch out and meet other travelers while preparing a coffee or tea (both free).

Great location. Easy walk to restaurants and markets. I appreciated the washing and drying machine close to the common room. Made it easy to complete laundry. Common room was lively with individuals (watching their phones, computers, reading), groups socializing, some preparing dinner, others eating their take-away. Bar staff was very helpful.
