Located in a delightful back alley in central Tainan. Simple and pleasant hostel
It’s more of a hostel than hotel. Few staff interactions, no daily cleaning. Tiny fridge.

The hostel is situated in a quiet and charming neighborhood. It’s extremely close from the city center, and there are plenty of nice café and restaurants around. The room was clean and comfy. The owner was very nice. Couldn’t expect better than this.

This property was one of my favorites on this trip. The owners were waiting for us outside when we arrived as they had asked us our estimated arrival time. They introduced the hotel and explained the rules. The place was secure - a key was necessary to enter the hotel and another for the room. They have an elevator which is in beautiful condition. The rooms were very clean and beautiful. The room I booked had a nice well-lit balcony. My friend had to do some work, and the desk in the room was excellent. The room had strong, stable WiFi. There were plenty of convenient outlets for both of us to charge our electronics. Amenities were good. Bathroom was clean with nice towels. It was a wet shower (not separated from the rest of the bathroom via door or curtain) but that was okay with us. I would happily stay here again.
The property was hard to find even with the address. You have to enter what looks like a narrow back alley. A few feet in and the street widens and is well-lit with a small-medium sized temple back there. In daylight, the area is nice and quiet. At night, I think it’s safe, but I wouldn’t want to walk alone.
Also, the shower points toward the door. If someone takes a shower, the entryway to the bathroom will be very wet after.

Fantastic location, close enoguh to the train station and steps away from some great attractions.
The stay was incredibly relaxing, the owners were friendly and flexible with our arrival time to the best of their abilities.
We particularly liked that they made their own maps of Tainan and recommended local shops and restaurants worthy of visiting. A lot of effort had been invested into making the stay enjoyable. The property was clean and felt very new. Couldn't have asked for more. Thank you!
