If it wasn't for my packed schedule I would've stayed here longer! This hostel is great for solo backpackers wanting to stay in a private bedroom. The owner, King, is a very friendly guy and his dog, Jingjing is the cutest! He creates a great, sociable atmosphere in the hostel.
The only thing I didn't like was how you can easily hear your neighbors from the other rooms (or be heard), but everyone was very considerate so it wasn't a problem.

I've stayed in more accommodations around Asia that I can remember - OC Hostel was definitely one of the most memorable ones. It's comfortable, beautiful, nicely located and the highlight of the stay? The host. One of the friendliest, knowledgeable and hospitable people I met in Asia.

The hostel host went above and beyond for us. He made sure that everything was ready for us, even when we arrived a little early. During our stay our son got a little sick and he went out of his way to recommend a clinic, let us borrow his thermometer, and offer pain reliever. He also provided recommendations for the area and was very welcoming. The location was near a lot of sightseeing spots and good food. We got the family room and it was perfect for our family of five. Definitely recommend this place.

- The host was extremely friendly and accommodating. There was no issue checking in late as they live in the same building.
- The location is great for exploring all the conventional attractions of Tainan. Everything is within walking distance.
- Despite some concerns about noise isolation prior to arriving, I found my stay quiet and I never felt disrupted in my sleep.
- The washing machine is available to use for free, which was a nice surprise.
If anything, as the host also discussed with me, there might be newer properties available at lower prices in Tainan. However, their service is hard to match, and I’d gladly return the next time I visit Tainan.

I really liked the bed sheets and linen, they were really comfortable. I was quite surprised when I identified them to be 100% polyester, as I didn't expect such a smoothness and comfort from it.
The staff was very friendly, too.
The shower is too close to the sink and toilet.

Very kind and helpful staff that can give you advice on what to do in Tainan, where to go, to have tea with and more. The beds were very comfortable and use of laundry machine is free! Easily reachable from Tainan station, and lots of food and bars around.

I really recommend OC hostel to anyone! I would stay here myself again if I ever visit Taiwan again.

I had a private room and it was a good room. It was big, had silent enough AC and even a nice sitting corner. Bed was very comfortable. Opportunity for laundry was great!

Such a great place and communication with King via whats app was so easy as well as with his wife at the hostel. The location is in a beautiful quiet neighbourhood. I love the city as well.

Location is amazing, really comfy bed, but what truly made the difference is the amazing host (and staff). He helped with any question we had, hosted a tea ceremony and was overall just very nice. Highly recommend staying here!
