The staff were lovely and we were able to leave our luggage both upon our early arrival and our late departure. The breakfast was nice and they were able to cater to one of our party who was vegetarian. Behind the hostel you could access the path around the lake so that was quite nice.
The room felt like a small, basic summer camp room, it was not quite what we had been expecting. The soundproofing was not great so we could hear all the plmbing noises from the adjoining rooms as well as the noise from people walking past. Possibly the more expensive rooms 'with a view' were nicer/quieter. The hostel is located 10-15 min walk from the main area of town, you have to walk along a fairly busy road with no sidewalk.

It was clean and quiet and they offer breakfast but there was a mixup at reception and I ended up not getting mine. I recommend not asking for room service and instead having breakfast in the main area to avoid that happening. WiFi worked great!
I wonder if the room in the main picture actually exists, but my room looked nothing like it. It is a more austere hotel, with no views (from my room at least).

Breakfast was amazing, the reception provided option to eat at eating area or send to the room. The location is about 8mins walk if you would like to take the ferry around sun moon lake. He also introduced the area on renting bicycles/bikes, and F&B as well! LOVE IT

Hotel has an interesting layout with some unique wooden structures, right next to a makeshift temple. Views of the lake and a nice garden.
Don't recommend hotel during winter. Room was freezing and there was no heat. Had to sleep in all my clothes and my heavy jacket, huddled under a thin blanket. After a few hours of restless slumber, woke up the temple gong being banged at sunrise. Room was very small, with little space to maneuver. Had to sit on bed to use desk. No extra blankets.

Room was small yet very comfortable.
We had a little view of the lakeside. Location was very good, they helped us rent bikes and close to some walking trails.

The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the accommodations were lovely and clean. The location was conveniently close enough to Sun Moon Lake while being tucked away a bit from the hustle and bustle. There was a bike shop nearby to rent bikes that gave a discount for guests of this accommodation. The breakfast was tasty and bright and colorful. Would be happy to stay there again!

I am so obsessed with this hotel. It was stunning with unique rooms and bathrooms and really cute breakfast and peaceful with perfect location for everything Sun Moon. Honestly a real favorite.

Ours is J , 2nd floor. Facing the lake. At night we can see the stars from the shower/ utility area.
Not many hanging area for 4 of us. Maybe you can add rope at the utility area, a naturally ventilated area to hang the bath towels. We stayed for two nights.

Lovely and old style B&B hidden away close to the Sunmoon lake. Very charming and has its own characteristics. Pet friendly with additional payment. Good breakfast box included.

Absolutely loved the room, so cute and comfortable! The cats were so friendly and relaxed. The grounds and landscape were so lovely, it felt like we were in the middle of the forest.

The room has a full view of the garden. It has so much charm and character. It feels like sleeping in a cabin in the middle of a garden. The beds are clean and comfortable. Everything is in order. The breakfast is quite healthy, perhaps too healthy for our taste.
The toilet and bath does not have an exhaust.
