Very Good
The staff were happy to help whenever asked, language was no barrier. The room was huge and it had a balcony with views of the buzzing city and mountains. It's right near the main streets of Puli filled with great food and bubble tea. The 6289 bus to Sun Moon Lake stop is conveniently 30 seconds walk to the left of the hotel's front door. The 6670D bus to Taichung High Speed Rail station is just across the road around and the corner. There's complementary coffee and snacks in the lobby.
Our room did have two annoying noises:
1. The air conditioner mounted on the wall outside was very noisy stopping and starting while we slept.
2. The hotel is also a multi-story carpark with rooms exposed to vehicle rumblings that felt eerily similar to earth tremors.
Soundproofing is clearly a problem so be prepared to use ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
Other irks:
-The bathroom basin had a badly scratched surface.
-The sofa in the room had a kids bed cover on it.
-There was no sugar or milk offered at the coffee machine in the lobby.
