Good
As other reviews have stated, the property could use a major refresh, but is very fun for kids. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially after my husband cut himself on one of the larger slides. They were super accommodating and were very concerned for him, checking in often and giving us a few things for free because of what happened. The pools do have odd hours, the small kiddie pool area is only open in the morning and you have to check opening times for all other areas. While we were there, the main pool was closed and so was 1 of the larger water slides. After my husband hurt his back, they quickly shut down the other (2nd) water slide. The only things open at that time were the lazy river pool, waterfall pool area and spa. Our child was disappointed the slides were never re-opened. I found the layout of the pools a bit odd. There was no good seating really anywhere to hang out poolside. They had a few plastic chairs, but they were dirty and uncomfortable. That was disappointing if you want to sit somewhere while your kids swim.
The location is a bit further away from town but it was easy to get around with a car. It is about 20 min from the night market in Kenting. The beach in front of the hotel was pretty, but rocky and you can't really swim there. Breakfast was decent and included with our stay, not a lot of western options, but some fresh cooked eggs available.

Disappointing
The beach was beautiful but very rocky. Lots of wild life.
The hours for the pools were ridiculous. Only open around 2 hours at a time, from 9am to 11:30am and then 2 to 5:30pm and than 7 to 9pm. Why?! With 2 hours of break in between. We came here for the pools, and only have a bit of time to swim before they close and have to find ways to entertain the kids when the pools were closed while being wet! They advertise having their breakfast buffet until 12pm which sounded nice but that means you have only a little bit time to eat if you want to swim or little time to swim if you want to eat. Just not ideal! People are on vacation, and you should have some realistic pool hours like 9 to 5pm and accommodate the guests and not the other way around.
And honestly the resort needed better entertainments for the guests. A Ballon show for a short time each day for the kids in the lobby and a evening show that you have to pay extra for was just ridiculous.
The location was also far away from most of the sites we wanted to visit. You will definitely need a car.
The guy on the beach also yelled harshly at my son for touching the hermit crabs. So not ok even if it was a protected area.
We spent 5k NTD between the two rooms. And dont think the price was worth it at all.
Will not return to this one

Wonderful
Firm beds, nice pool, clean spa water, good food and shuttle service.
The tour guide at 3:30 was not knowledgeable enough

Facilities and location
The bed was pretty hard.
The slides for the kids under 120CM in kids pool is dangerous without safety measurement.

Exceptional
We came with two children who loved the bunkers and swing in our room. The night entertainment was fa for them and they enjoyed feeding the fish and visiting the cacao farm across the road. Pizza in the cafe by the beach was good and snorkeling only 5 mins walk away. The pool with the slides was great fun and helpful to have the inside pool for the smaller one. Breakfast had a wide choice and the shop was not expensive.
Nothing - would stay again.

Good
Staff went over and above and we liked that there lots of activities and facilities for the kids. That said facilities are a bit dated and could be better maintained. Also pool opening times are strange: kids pool only opens at 10 and all pools are closed 12 to 2pm. Finally you need a car to go anywhere as it’s pretty isolated

Pleasant
Room is okay. The lobby is ok. Food is average.
The facility lacks maintenance and upkeep.
Parking is dark and like a giant puzzle. There's no porter to assist with the luggage. No free toiletries like toothbrushes and toothpaste.

The staff's willingness to help us have a great experience in Taiwan.
It was a little far away from the activities we wanted to participate in. Next time I would look for something closer to Kenting.

Wonderful
Very good food, both breakfast and dinner, as well as facilities. The room was large enough to accommodate three children which made the stay convenient for the family.
The futon type bed was too hard. The issue was swiftly fixed with a second mattress on the next day. Thank you!
The Kurhaus facility is still a pleasant place to be, but the indoor swimming pool is somewhat run down and does need maintenance.

Good
good range of breakfast buffet choices,
UBike available at the entrance is a definite bonus
too many restrictions at the pool area,
especially the usage time, we can for holiday, but need to constantly watch time for the pool opening hour
lunch and dinner is a challenge too, the restaurant inside the facility is way over priced,
but there's no other convenience stores nearby for food selections
Walitong is close by, but not much choices especially during week days

Very Good
Unique arhitecture of the building complex with pools and spa, rich choice of breakfast foods, beautiful sea view of the breakfast restaurant, bathroom, beds, view from our room, frienldy staff.
That none of our 4 different payment cards were accepted in the resort lobby and we had to withdraw a bag of cash from an ATM in town to bring to the hotel instead -- even if we were able to use our cards perfectly normal everywhere else during our whole 3-week-stay in Taiwan, including the Yoho resort's 3 souvenir, snacks and swimwear shops!
Secondly, that the resort is very ill-connected by bus with the nearby town -- no early buses, no later buses ... so we had to rely on taxis.

Night shows, breakfast, spa and pools are amazing!
During happy hour we ordered 2 glasses of long island iced tea, but what we received was more like whiskey with cola... That definitely didn't cost both its price and 10% service charge.
