We had to change room because some issues with the swimming pool. But finally, we got a nice room to replace and no impact on our holidays.

I like the privacy and the attention you get from the staff. Parking is super convenient the hotel is very close to the beach and not far from town
I find it an absolute disgrace that they make every person wear plastic throw away gloves on the buffet. Everyone knows that this is not how the virus travels. It is complete nonsense and just adds to a very high carbon footprint that a hotel this size already has. WAKE UP

location is good.
property is old. food is mediocre. can easily hear people next door or outside the door even though its a villa. the blanket is not comfortable and small.

They allow dogs inside the room.
The bed was so uncomfortable, floor or bed frame (I am not sure which one) keep squeaking everytime we move so didn't sleep very well. Also the staff keep calling to the room to ask about breakfast option was not very customer friendly. We were resting and had to wake up several times to take the call.

The self-contained villa was spacious enough for 2 and had a nice outdoor area for relaxing, sun bathing and cooling off in the mini pool. The staff were friendly, hospitable and always on hand when needed. The property itself is easy enough to get to and close to the road for ease of access to the local area.
The outside of the villa was overlooked by hotel bedrooms and there was very little natural light in the villa itself. It was also lacking a view of the beautiful coastline, which would have been great, especially at sunset.
Did we have a nice time? Yes! Would we rush back here next time? Just maybe!

Our villa was so much better than expected. Our two boys and our dog really enjoyed it. The staff went out of their way to make our trip exceptional.
The gym facilities were outdated and not even a separate room.

The hotel is old and is starting to tell. A remake would be advisable.
Drop the deers. Its painful to see these in such small cases and has no place in 2020.

Poor
The staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. The nearby beach is nice and it is close to facilities and the night market. The air gun range was a hit with the kids.
The breakfast was bad. Not much available when we came. All quite unappealing, and the fruit plates remained empty. Many areas of the hotel were dirty - torn carpets and dirty floors. Poor lighting throughout. Villa is just a slightly larger room, very poor sound insulation - the people next door had 4 noisy dogs which woke us, and we could hear running feet from the floor above early in the morning. The furniture in the villa was uncomfortable- nowhere relaxing to enjoy the outdoor area. Nasty vinyl sofa, nowhere to put clothes or store anything in the rooms. The Water Space was straight from a horror movie: dark, dirty, mostly broken. Followed signs for sauna, which was just being used as a junk room. Just depressing and so expensive!

We thoroughly enjoyed the location, as it was perfect for going to the beach or riding bicycles into town. Renting bicycles from the front desk was easy and fun, and we did it a few times.
Breakfast was yummy!
The staff was so kind, helpful, and accommodating!
We really liked the water fountain in the main hallway for the villas. It was comforting to always hear the sound of running water.
The lounge seemed like a great place for families - there were games and plenty of space for hanging out in large groups.
We were planning to skinny dip in our private pool, but it wasn't quite private because it was visible from other rooms. Also, the pool did not maintain depth. After it was filled, the water would slowly drain out and we had to keep asking the staff to fill it. The pool was a big reason why we chose the Howard Villas, so these items were particularly disappointing.
Also the room was a bit more dark, cramped, and cluttered than we anticipated, and the bed was not particularly comfortable. We usually like to lay around and spend quality time together in the room, but it was not really comfortable to do so.
We were looking forward to the lounge access that came with the villa, but the lounge food turned out to be just a few cookies and nuts. There was no hot food and no beverages (besides water and juice).
Finally (and probably least importantly), Howard resort doesn't provide any amenities at the beach, which contrasted sharply with how the resort next door provided umbrellas and loungers for guests.
