Very Good
The clerk was able to speak English and also was caring of the guests because when a last-minute guest came in, the price for a night's stay was quite high unlike the usual price for the hotel so the clerk told the guest he could consider it, but i think the guest was already set on staying so he agreed to pay the rate mentioned. I thought it was kind and thoughtful of the clerk to suggest the guest think it over because it was double what i paid, and other clerks would have been pushy or judgy about it but this clerk was very understanding.
I would have liked a little breakfast snack, even some cookies in the room would have been great

- we could park the car in their available spots, but there were only a few - Relatively close to metro station - The hotel has great access for highway
- Unfortunately does not provide breakfast, which by the price should be considered - The room is spacious but can get quite warm during the night if you turn off the AC. However the AC is super loud. The water boiler was not working, but they provide hot and cold water downstairs

This is an old hotel but that gives the furnishings character. It's not a cookie-cutter modern reno. There's a bus stop right outside the door. Be advised that it seems to have at least two English names, Goodness and Kindness, so Google Maps may confuse you. The Chinese name is 歌得商旅 "ge-de" (meaning to sing praises of) which sounds like "good" and probably inspires the English name. Right around the corner is the tantalizing Seaslug Coffee, but I didn't have a chance to try that on this trip!
As can be seen in the photo, the beds are on a raised platform. This is part of the "character." From there you have to step down to the bathroom or desk/TV area. An incautious guest might stumble and fall. The tub faucet's diverter needed servicing: it automatically switches to shower mode and stays that way. If I was wanting to fill the tub for a bath, that would have been annoying. There's a lovely chest of drawers, but for some reason the drawers are glued shut. If I was a business traveler wanting to unpack my suitcase for several days, I would miss those drawers. I couldn't quite follow the wifi instructions which gave the SSID as my room number. That SSID didn't show up on networks, but I guessed that using the next room's SSID would work, and it did.

The room is unexpectedly big, so is the bathroom. The old cleaning lady change the towels everyday, she's so sweet even gave us some dried fruits for snacking. Wifi is strong A lot of nearby local restaurants

Close to many businesses. Close to airport. Excellent very helpful staff. Air conditioner works well.
Old building rooms need renovation. Musty smell in the room when you first walk in. The smell went away when the air conditioner got going.

Wonderful
If you want to know locals' lives, I highly recommend this place. It was a nice place to know one side of real taiwan. It was quite convenient for a meal and to buy necessities because lots of locals' restaurants and a supermarket were quite adjacent to this hotel. Most staff were quite kind as well.

Good place to stay: clean, staff helful if you ask. The hotel is old but clean and provide all you need , cheap for a double room. Nice park just 5min by walk with people come with their perrot and run.
It was interesting to go further from the dowtown for a second stay, for a first stay i am not sure, it's the best location. But for the price, its good value
