Extremely clean and organized hostel. I felt extremely comfortable and cozy. Location 13 mins from train station but pretty easy to walk around. Not too social but many areas for chilling. I really enjoyed.

This hostel by far is one of my favorites. The layout of the hostel is what I love the most, along with the room size. The location was only 3-6 blocks from the train station depending on the direction you exit the station. The night market was across the street and a 7 Eleven next door, The bathrooms and rooms are extremely clean because the staff is very diligent about making sure the hostel is extremely clean. The staff was very serious about their roles in ensure the hostel is ran effectively and with great care. Only wish they provided breakfast. Highly Recommend! Would absolutely stay here again.
Wish breakfast was available and there was an outside space inside the hostel.

wouldn’t stay here again (I think I would, they were just annoying). The hostel was fine, but the staff was a bit snippy and overbearing with their rules. Don’t expect an early check in or a late checkout. Other than that, it’s on the fifth floor, and the mattress is a bit thin even for Taiwan. Wifi was good, showers were good, the bed had good height. It’s on the fifth floor, so stairs are not an option. The elevator works well though. Also good location for the nearby night market.

Lamps should be put into the rooms. I have a single room and only overhead lighting, which was too bright. If I wanted to stay awake it just is better to have a lamp that would be softer.
The bed is rock hard
The pillowcase flat and had a musty smell to it like it wasn’t pulled out of the dryer early enough
The room also had a strong musty smell
The staff did put in a air freshener, but it really didn’t change much

Super clean, super efficiently run. Strong showers with plenty of hot water. Staff do their best to meet any special requests for the most part. When I discovered how extremely hard the bed was I knew I couldn't possibly sleep on it and to their credit, they came up with a big folding block of foam a few inches thick that I could put on top and it made all the difference, so I slept well.
I just can't ever forget that when I first went into the large handicapped bathroom for personal reasons that were none of anyone else's business, one of the staff came and stood in my face and wanted to know why I was there and what I was doing. She didn't back off and kept questioning me and then saying she was worried about me getting hurt by something in there. How bizarre and false. I can't imagine what was really going on. There are some cleaning materials in that bathroom, but I have major issues with chemical scents and the last thing on earth I would do is touch any of that. In the end, I had to tell her it was none of her business and close the door. It really creeped me out. But otherwise, the place is very well run, as long as you're not looking for any warmth from the staff.

Does not feel good when I am trying to check in the morning. I speak Chinese with her. She just seems like do not understand my Chinese or feel angry or something. But the tone are totally changed and different when she speaks with foreigners. Trying to be nice again but all the responses are cold.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us very clear instruction. When we asked where the emergency exit was, the girl showed and explained to us patiently. The place is clean and the decor is modern.
We stayed at a 4-bed room, and the paint on the ceiling fell off. It could have been fixed.

The hostel is about 10-15 min walk from the station, you need to keep an eye out for the sign on the building as it is on the upper floors. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable, there were laundry facilities. Good location, very close to metro station as well as many eateries.
the bathroom's were ok but the black shower curtains show all the dirt and grime, perhaps not a good color choice. Towels were provided but they are pretty small so bring your own towels if you can

Great location, there is a 7-11 right downstairs, a night market across the street, and it’s only a few minutes from the nearest subway station. The lobby is nice and clean with comfy sofas, and the toilets and showers are kept very tidy.
The mattress was a bit too firm for me, and the squeaky frame made it difficult to move around quietly at night.

Nice place. They made it very easy to be social with the design of the common spaces. Lots of bathrooms and showers. Kitchen had some cutlery, microwave and fridge which was great. The location was quite nice as well, very close to night market.
It could be a little bit cleaner. A freshener for the shoe lockers could have helped as well. The rooms are a little dated, but the showers etc are easy to use.

IF YOU ARE A TOURIST, I HOPE YOU'LL HAVE A BETTER EXPERIENCE SOMEWHERE ELSE.
The hostel itself was just okay.
All the rules are in English as well, and there sooooo many of them, but when it came to tourist info and laminated maps - nahhh!!! Only chinese. That's "very" welcoming.
There were 3 problematic things.
First, girls at the reception were not nice at all.
When I did my checking process, the girl was unpatient. She wasn't listening to what I was saying, while I was trying to verify the prices [she already charged(!) with my card] in my Booking app.
She said twice that these are the prices pointing at the papers, being unpatient with me to sign, and I said, "Wait a minute, I want to check" with the phone in my hands.
And then she pointed again, with her finger, and I said the same, and this was going on for the third time as well.
There was no one else waiting for a check-in, so there wasn't any pressure.
The straw that broke the camel's back was when we finished the process, she said, and this is LITERALLY a quote from her lips "Go to your room."
I was in shock, I didn't even speak.
Now, when you are working with tourists and you need to speak in English, then speak IN ENGLISH, don't talk in chinese translated into English.
Learn proper English or some basic manners to communicate properly. Tourists are people, not animals you order around!!!
Second things: The beds are old, made of wood that's broken in some places, and taped with masking tape. Looks very childish.
Also, there wasn't any place in my bed or the other beds to put private belongings.
Third, the showers (with lousy old curtins) are terrible.

It’s really near the station and night market and 7-11, very convenient. For girls, entering the toilets and shower room needs code, which is safe.
I saw an insect on my bed, which is disgusting. In the night it’s noisy when you open the window since it’s along the street. However, if you close the window, the room will become super hot and stuffy.
