Wonderful
Location is literally few stairs to Jiufen old street. The owner is very sweet, helpful and welcoming. Nice delicious breakfast and a very homie style room. Hot shower works and you can barrow stuff like phone charger, adaptor and umbrella. I really enjoyed my stay.

The room was clean and comfortable for a night of stay. The breakfast was included and it was really good, served with an oolong tea, fruits and a chicken sandwich. Staff didn’t speak English but it was manageable.
It may not be easy to find.
I booked a room that said sea view room but the view was only a small portion looking out of the window across the entrance verandah.

Wonderful
The location is terrific and the host is the best. Mr. Qiu is in his retirement but is extremely capable to help his guests out on many fronts. He rode his motorcycle to meet us and lead us to the designated parking lot and even offer to transfer our luggage from the parking lot to his house.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. Close walking distance to main shopping strip.
But mindful that the town is on the mountain side and if you have difficulty navigating stairs, this property and the town maybe more challenging for you. Parking is far away from the Homestay but the owner helps you to navigate. Harder if you have big suitcases but doable.

Location
We were taken on a wild goose chase around town and then dumped in a very dirty apartment which they stated was an upgrade. We had to park our car very far away from the "b&b" and then walk up very steep stairs up through the whole village to the top to get to it (straight 20 min of climbing). We couldn't even say anything because the owner doesn't speak English and just took our suitcase and ran with it in front of us. The apartment was very dirty and stank of mold. The curtains were completely molded. Bathroom was disgusting and there were hair and weird things all over the floor. If it wasn't a "remote" village and it wasn't so late we definitely wouldn't have stayed there if we had a chance to even look at the place before the owner ran away. The beds were very hard. Breakfast was just a mini sandwich and some sweet tea.

Like: Very central in Jiufen old street. The elder owner couple very nice . Husband took our 2 luggage down to the bus stop and wife walk us down to the bus stop. We got a 6 bed room with sea view and upgrade from the owner.
Basic yet very homely … lovely sandwiches and fruits and coffee.
Tv channels are great - so many channels - Cinemax etc .
Dislike very minor - lots of steps up to the B&B unavoidable as this is jiufen but is worth it as with the good location - value for money

The owner is a lovely old gentleman! We arrived earlier then the check-in time, but he showed us the room right away. Amazing location, delicious breakfast and very very nice owner!

Place had lots of character and the owner was really helpful, he came and rescued us when we arrived as the street is very narrow and we nearly got our car stuck on a very steep dead end. Once we found it the location was good for walking to the market srreet and to the Gold Museum (30 minute walk)
Hard to find, a local women helped up but very difficult to drive round the narrow steep streets, although there is a car park near.

Breakfast provided was delightful - simple and yummy! The location is great, has a good view of the Keelung Port and is quiet and tranquil. Do follow the instructions on using the correct steps up from Jiufen Old Street as it's the fastest and less tiring route to the homestay. Thank you for giving us the 4 pax room even though we booked for 2, and rather last minute as well.
The bathroom was really cold.....

small bedroom with a narrow ensuite plus a so called sea-view room, it’s just a bed room in an ordinary house up the hills with plenty steps to claim! Not worth the values.

Location feels local, intimate and not touristy. Yet it is still so close to Jiufen Old Street, less than a 5 min walk via shortcut stairs and walkways (this is a big vibes plus for me). Host was a kind old man who went out of his way to show us the place and direct our transit driver on how to park near the area (it’s a bit trickier to drive to and park at). We speak Mandarin which helps, but the host has prepared English translations of all you need to know on various signages at the accommodation and in the messaging. The host sent us instructions on how to get her by car and public transport several days in advance which was very helpful. Would highly recommend this place!
Parts of the accommodation smelled a bit damp, likely as we were close to the sea. Did not impact our stay. The value for money outweighed the above.

The place was more of an apartment, minus the kitchen. There was another bedroom upstairs which we didn't use. The little window provided a good view, but that was rare as the weather was bad.
The two bathrooms were great and the shower had excellent pressure.
The bed was comfortable.
The guy who manages the place doesn't speak English, but he is super helpful and will use the translator.
Location is a few minutes from the Old Street using the steps.
Breakfast was just ok, a sandwich of your choice, coffee and a bit of fruit.

This was great for a group of friends, we loved the cozy vibes especially on the upper floor. The extra bed was a smaller thinner mattress next to the other two upstairs, but still comfortable and there were extra blankets to layer on it. Breakfast sandwiches, fruit and drinks were delivered to us in the morning. The owner was lovely. We all enjoyed our stay!
