Wonderful
The staff were really friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was great (even for vegans), the location was perfect, and the place had a sociable vibe while also being quiet enough at night. As far as I remember the wifi was good too, and my room was comfortable.
There aren't always smoke-free communal spaces (when the balcony door is open the living room is quite smoky - it was only an issue on some mornings though), and the kitchen is a bit small (but cooking is possible and easy to do).

It wasn't clean at all. The bed was uncomfy, bedsheet and pillow were dirty. The bathroom was very old. Felt not safe as a solo female traveler.

Location, breakfast, filtered water, one girl that worked in the morning at the reception was exceptional, super friendly!
Beds are quite uncomfortable, don’t forget to ask for a towel, I was the only one in my dorm who wasn’t given one.

The location is good. 5 mins walk from train station. Breakfast is good and feels like home.
Neighborhood is very noisy. Feeling not safe when walking out at night. Bathroom needs to be renovated.

The breakfast made by Fati is just awesome and enormous, you can skip the lunch after that!! The staff is really kickback and relax, first backpackers hostel in Izmir. You can't do more central than that. Tram is right by and anything is within a minute away walking. Free tea and hibiscus.
From the pictures to the reality....wouahhhh The price, the Wi-fi is so lame, from the 90's. Everybody gather in the narrow living room to get the internet, like a 90's feeling Noise from the street and loud music from the bar next door

Free breakfast was delicious. Close to many areas of interest, sea, trams, trains, etc... If you are over 6' or 190 cm or taller good luck w the bunks, better in one bed of the 3 person dorm. (Feet can poke through.)
2nd floor bathroom has a moldy / stinky smell to it, and my room was right across the hall. Old place, pallets, w cushions for sofa area in common space. Smokers, most of the locals, had very little regard for the smell of their smoke drifting into the common space from their outside balcony smoke areas. Even leaving filthy ash trays on the counter in kitchen. No lockers, but everyone had a key to the front door. Rooffrop only for laundry, so no room to sit and enjoy, a missed opportunity.

Disappointing
The staff were wonderfully helpful and nice people. They were able to accommodate very late check in. The location is great, near the train station and some cool places like cafes and bars.
The building needs maintenance.

There is nothing good about this hostel, it’s filthy and the staff have a horrible attitude. There is no way that a place this bad should be listed on booking
Filthy and disgusting, it looks like the rooms are never cleaned.
