Very Poor
The place was within walking distance to the bus terminal, the bed was comfortable, and the owner's apparent lack of know how for running a facility like this, and what is acceptable, went from pity to contempt. He did not know how to use the credit card machine. I processed my own payment. There was no receipt tape in the machine nor spare rolls anywhere in the building. Honestly, the place felt like it came out of retirement for the big holiday week of Bayram. Mine was a last-minute booking. I had just stayed in a similar, coastal place for 17 Euros a night. This place might be 25 tops – IF it were clean but certainly not 34 Euro a night for one person!
I was taken to #207. The floors, entire restroom were wet from where they'd just been hosed down. The room reeked of stale smoke, even with the windows open. Everything in the room was yellowed from absorbing years of smoke and grime. Furniture was broken, ripped, torn, and the cushioned chair was broken in and bottomed out. There were half-empty bottles of shampoo on the wardrobe and sink vanity, which had one end caked in dried soap scum. The plastic garbage can tops were dirty, hair was on the toilet, I did not even want to take my shoes off, little alone think about showering! I was thinking about going downstairs, giving myself a credit card refund, and leaving but found other rooms on the floor somewhat fresher, cleaner. I switched to another room that was tolerable. Attached photos verify some of what I've described since the photos with the Booking listing are outdated and misleading! I forgot breakfast was included until the second morning, but no way I would eat anything coming out of that kitchen, either! After further looking, the facility profile says they’ve been on Booking for 11 years, but no verifiable reviews? There are plenty of other reviews on the internet that verify what I have written – which I should have checked first!
