First of all, the staff!! The hosts were super friendly!! Second, the location that is fantastic!!
The rooms are very old and in need of urgent renovations. The air conditioning and linen are very old and so is the carpet and matresses. But overall, I would stay there again!!

The shower only has two temperatures: boiling hot and freezing cold, I would spend 20 minutes or more trying to shower without getting burnt (that bad!). The room seems dirty. The building needs an renovation

Basic room but great location and facilities. Located right on the edge of the old town which meant we were able to explore the old town but enjoy the cheaper food options outside of the old town. Tramline was very easy to use with tram stops located very close. A very nice roof top terrace with fantastic views across the old town and the water. A convenience store located across the road. Owner was friendly and we were able to pay with card on arrival. Room was basic and small but perfect to use as a base while we were out exploring the region. Private balcony with a small ocean view was also nice.
Mosque located right next door with a very loud call to prayer which woke us up everyday, but this is hard to avoid anywhere in Türkiye.

Wonderful
A pleasant room in a super location. Gorgeous view from the rooftop, step outside the door and you're in the middle of the old town. Beware of tourist prices for food in this area, but the owner showed me some local options. Hearty breakfast at the hotel will fill you up for a few hours anyway. Best is the friendly owner and his wife - lovely, warm, helpful people. Overall great value for money and you'll love the personal touches.

Everything went well. I wrote to the hotel when to expect me and the host was welcoming me and giving me lots of valuable info as to where to go for affordable lunch, etc. I was offered a cup of Turkish coffee at the top terrace of the hotel with a breathtaking view. The hotel is excellently located - just at the entrance to Kaleichi (old city). It was the beginning of March, not the high season and the price was reasonable.

We stayed for 1 night and chose this hotel as a point for rest between our trips....We liked most an owner, location, view from a terrace during morning tea, a small balcony in the room and the price.
Room is just paint on the walls, 2 beds and a wardrobe and toilet with a shower... it is enough although it looks like you are in an old-fashioned film)
It was very noicy as people spoke and cried outside till late in the night

The roof terrace was out of this world and Hassan the owner was extremely helpful, I will definitely try and stay again should I return.
Great location for trams, shopping and bars.
There was nothing to complain about for such a good value hotel.

The most DISGUSTING place we have ever slept in! STAY AWAY from this hotel and the owner! We were given a room without a balcony even though we booked with the balcony. Worst of all we found a pigeon nest with pigeons inside the room! The room and bathroom were disgusting and the bathroom door did not close!
First of all we arrived at the hotel in the evening and in the morning when we woke up we noticed a pigeon nest with pigeons behind the TV! What a lack of hygiene in this hotel! We immediately packed up and left the room. We reported this to the owner but he just ignored us and left saying he had no time! What ignorance and lack of manners! The owner is a fraud who after this incident canceled our booking on Booking.com as if we had never slept there in order not to get a negative review and not to report the matter on the portal!
Secondly, we booked a room with a balcony and we got a room without a balcony, but the owner informed us during check in that the room did not have a balcony but did have a window... what a shame! Even though we paid for a room with the balcony. What's more, the room was really old, disgusting and the bathroom door did not even close. We feel really cheated and treated badly. The owner did not offer any compensation for this disgusting inconvenience. Especially finding the pigeons in the room! Stay away from this hotel! The WORST EXPERIENCE we have ever had on booking!
