The Slate is a true 5 star stay. The attention to detail was evident from our check in, being escorted to our room, our experience whilst using the facilities and our dining. Staff were extremely attentive and we only wished we stayed longer.
The pillows on the bed were feather, great for display not so great for sleeping on.

The property is clean and near to the airport 10 minutes only , the breakfast is fine but a lot of a small flyies which are not good since they are standing on the food
the hotel looks like something different , the private pool was no view and there is no jacuzzi only banio was outside in the garden which is fear since there are some insects outside ,the beach is not good and was public not private to the hotel residence

The hotel offers a fabulous variety of every service you would desire in a resort hotel. The gardens and pools are fantastic. The variety of eating options between the restaurants perfect and then for variety to have so many local vendors literally outside the resort on the beach was wonderful. I also had a spectacular massage from Sarah in the spa who certainly is skilled at her craft and training.
The only thing I found weird was a curtain over the toilet rather than a door between the shower / vanities and toilet areas. I suppose though that many bathrooms do not seperate the toilet but the curtain just seemed odd versus a door when aiming for privacy. However, the very solid door to seperate the entire bathroom from the bedroom was a solution.

We booked at The Slate last minute as our preferred choice of hotel was full. Wow! We were so impressed and it will now always be our first option in Phuket. A beautiful, spotlessly clean hotel with unique decor and 5 star attention to detail set in gorgeous grounds and with beach access which was clean and quiet plus the bonus of 10 minutes from the Airport. The staff went above and beyond and were friendly and professional. The Hotel breakfast was one of the nicest hotel breakfasts Ive experienced, beautifully presented with a huge selection of choice. We will be back.

It would be amazing if hotel would have a private beach, but the public beach in front of the hotel is very nice and well kept and hotel provides beach towels

We stayed at the resort over the Songkran period to avoid the noise of the city. Breakfast was nice and pleasant, we absolutely loved one of the Adults' pool. Our Suite was lovely as well, uniquely and tastefully designed, full of well thought small details everywhere, and certainly not one of those usual resorts. We absolutely loved the entire ambience of the resort, especially the lobby area with a very colorful and bright lobby shop. Great access to the public beach and we loved our daily morning walks and short trips.
Since that was a Songkran evening, all other restaurants were closed and we had to have the themed Thai dinner buffet. It was okay, but as much as we like Thai food, it felt like all time favorite items were not presented - no Tom Yam, no Pad Thai, no Tom Sam, etc. We felt disappointed, and that was same to many other foreign (non-Thai) guests who were the majority. Also the AC in the bathroom did not function until we called engineering to fix it, which took couple of hours.
