This place was exceptional. From the grand lobby entrance, infinity pools, landscaped walkways, to the exquisite views you will enjoy the relaxation at this luxurious resort. Our villa was probably the nicest place I have ever stayed. The extensive buffet breakfast featured dishes from around the world, and could be enjoyed overlooking the bay. The staff was courteous and obliging. There were golf cart shuttles. The beach area was small, but quaint. This stay was the cherry on top of our visit to Thailand.
I have no complaints about this beautiful resort.

The best hotel stay we have ever experienced as a whole family. We stayed at a seafront villas with pool. It was simply amazing to feel the tropical wind from the sea everyday and to see the greenery view.
Our kids really enjoyed the pool.
Breakfast was perfect, the best I have ever had.
All the staff was like the signature of famous Thai hospitality, every one of them was so friendly and kind to us.
It takes about 20 minutes by taxi to get to the Old Phuket.

It's the perfect place for a peaceful retreat! Our room was very comfortable, the amenities included daily soft drinks and snacks (loved the truffle chips). We tried all the restaurants, food and service were great! The staff is supportive and friendly. It's a great option to disconnect, recharge and enjoy the beautiful views.

-The room was very clean that no insects or mosquitoes and the housekeeping is amazing especially a girl called Pop or Poo I forgot her name.
-The golf cart was fast to come when I order it.
-The sun shine comes through the window, so if u like to sleep with darkness it is not the best for u
-You can not control the lights inside the there are two option dim or bright so you can’t adjust the lights you want or not

I loved everything about the property. From the exquisite views to the amazing service. It truly felt like a hotel that came out of a movie. It was very peaceful and welcoming and included all the activities that would make someone feel cared for and appreciated during their stay.
Nothing beats the coconut water and the swing by Panoa beach.
I have no complains. I feel like it surpassed my expectations and was perhaps one of my favorite parts of my vacation in Phuket.

We loved how relaxing the place was and the main pool. The bed was also very comfortable. The service was always great and welcoming which made the stay feel even better. The staff were very flexible with the food and we could often order dishes from other restaurants at the pool which made it excellent. We're very happy we tried this resort, it was incredibly relaxing being out near the main pool and having the staff always ask if you need anything. Plus the protein shakes at the wellness restaurant were a great touch!
The food was okay across the restaurants and in room dining. Unfortunately because of the location there's not many options outside the resort so you're stuck with resort food. There were also insects in the bathroom and it was a very long journey from the airport and marina (if you're planning to do day trip tours to the islands). But overall we were happy with the stay and enjoyed it. The staff really did make an effort to service every need so while we didn't like the above, it wasn't bad enough to complain about. I would recommend if you're happy to have a relaxing, 'stay at the resort all day' type of vacation.

Looks Like a Five-Star Resort, Feels Far From It
Amatara Wellness Resort
Stayed 6 nights | Couple | Peak season (including Christmas)
We stayed at Amatara for six nights during peak season, including Christmas. While the resort is visually attractive, the overall experience did not meet five-star standards.
The room showed clear signs of poor maintenance: visible wear and tear, exposed electrical outlets, and very noisy air-conditioning units that affected sleep quality.
The staff is polite, but there is a clear lack of manpower. Reception often seemed to be managed by a single person handling everything. There is no dedicated concierge service, and information we received regarding an expensive tour we booked was misleading and conflicting, which was very disappointing.
Breakfast service was disorganized: no host, no clear seating process, and no explanation of the format. It was unclear where to order coffee, and when ordered, it arrived cold twice. Only on the third attempt was it acceptable. Being told the coffee machine was broken is not reasonable for a hotel of this category.
The pool is beautiful, but there are far too few loungers for the number of guests, creating a constant lack of seating. Public areas look nice but feel empty and lifeless no music, no active bar, and no atmosphere. Even on Christmas Eve, the festive feeling was almost nonexistent.
The resort is very remote, with little access to restaurants or activities outside the hotel. Despite this, the hotel offers only two restaurants (one for breakfast), both with average and uninspiring menus.
Housekeeping was inconsistent: the minibar was not replenished unless requested (despite being stated policy), bathrobes were removed daily but not replaced, and cleaning often arrived very early in the morning despite repeated requests for later service. Bathroom cleanliness was below expectations.
On the night before departure, our room key stopped working.
