Wonderful
Beautiful, quiet bungalow set into the edge of the forest. Private outdoor kitchen and breakfast nook. Large, comfortable bed and crisp linens. Perfect for couple's getaway.
Warm and helpful staff arranged transport for us to and from the pier and even drove us to the hospital when we had an emergency. Great laundry service and cleaning service. Staff went above and beyond, both professional and homey.
Easy 3-minute scooter ride to restaurants on the beach, cafes, convenience stores, pharmacy, fruit stands, etc.
It would be nice to be right on the beach, but the quiet, secluded location made it more than worth it. And they provide scooters to rent!

I was looking for a simple place to just spend a few weeks by myself and work on an online project around having some time out. This was the perfect place. I chose Bang Po Hut after reading a lot of the reviews online and found it to be exactly what I was looking for; quiet, clean, affordable, great wifi, away from the main tourist circuit of Koh Samui and within walking distance to a really beautiful beach. The shops and beach are an easy 10 minute stroll away (good to get in your daily exercise) and once there you have plenty of restaurants/bars to choose from. Wannagram is the best coffee I have come across in Thailand. There is also a really great family owned Thai restaurant next to the 7/11 which is where I ate at most days. It's really inexpensive, clean, fresh and traditional. There are countless more international restaurants to explore as you walk along the beachfront and plenty of places for great Thai massage. The owners are super lovely and I felt so welcomed and well looked after for the duration of my stay. They offered to bring me fresh eggs everyday from their chickens and were always helpful and generous in all our interactions (even dropping me to the airport). After all the changes I've seen in Thailand over the last 20 years, it was really nice to encounter the kind of hospitality Thailand was once known for. I will definitely go back again :)

The aparments are super friendly not big but well equipped. Rent a scooter for 200Bath/day! This is the best way to discover the island.I absolutely recommend Bang Po Hut.

Very comfortable bungalows tucked away in cute garden away from the busy roads. Great kitchen / dining area outside to conveniently lounge. Room is fully equipped with great bedding, AC, smart TV.
Recommend to rent your own scooter as not too close to beaches.

The person who helped us at the checking was super nice and accommodating. The room is clean and the bed is very comfortable. Each room has a small kitchen outside the bedroom (super handy for anyone that like cooking or having breakfast at the hotel). The closest beach is about 10 min away (walking). Lots of small shops and restaurants around. We would stay here again for sure.

The host was very friendly and helpful. She arranged everything we needed - from renting a bike to booking our tickets for the ferry the next day. The laundry was taken care in short notice. Also the place was very clean even though it was a little small.

I've given a 10 once or twice before, but this place is truly special. We booked for one week, stayed for two. The bungalows are beautiful, very clean and have an equipped kitchen. The best of this place however are the hosts. Every morning we got fresh eggs and every now and then some bananas and mangos. The night before we left we even got a fish from the BBQ (which was absolutely amazing!). When we left we went to Mae Nam (the next town). Since it's a 15 minute drive they figured they might as well drop us off (sweetest thing ever!).
The place roasts it's own coffee beans and I would definitely recommend drinking your morning coffee there, it's great. It's a 10 minute walk to the main road (two minutes on motorbike), where there's a 7-11 and some nice restaurants. It's a quieter part of Samui, which we absolutely loved. It's possible to rent motorbikes from the accommodation to get around the island though.
You're in a jungle like environment. This means beautiful sounds at night, but you might also find all kinds of crawlers in your bungalow. The hosts do everything in their power to keep that to a minimum, but you're in nature :).
