Exceptional
The location, the staff, the peace, the view from the breakfast/ restaurant area. They always gave you 2 free bottles of water every day. I needed a very strong WiFi for work and they kindly upgraded me for free to another room. I could not fault this place and will definitely go back, I miss it already, it felt like home. I would like to thank Pen the receptionist who went out of her way to accommodate me & make sure everything was perfect. Also, big thanks to Tu the girl from the restaurant/ bar ( I hope I said your name correctly.) And thanks to the lady cook ( I think her name is Pem) , all very hard working people but always smiling. I wish you all the best till next time
Nothing. I would like to just suggest to consider adding a vegetarian breakfast option to the menu. Also, a Do Not Disturb sign on the doors, if at all possible

Wonderful
We really enjoyed our stay in the Baanfah Resort. The location right next to the beach is amazing, its perfect for people who look for a peaceful atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the kitchen/bar staff did everything they could to create enjoyable holidays.
Personally, I didnt feel comfortable in the bungalow room as it wasnt cosy. Thats why we moved to a (more expensive) room by the pool, which was great. Also, the mattresses were pretty hard but you get used to it.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Rooms were big, clean, and had everything we needed. Staff were all sweet.
Huge problem with mosquitos, we brought plenty of spray with us but they were still a problem.

Pool, and peaceful setting
In the room description , it was mentioned that an in-room safe and minibar were present, this was not the case! Furthermore the door lock was damaged/broken, subsequently I was concerned about security, especially as there was no in-room safe. On one occasion, sat down at the restaurant for dinner, the restaurant was stated as open, after 10 minutes we got up and left, as no one came to serve us, even though the bar tender at the adjacent bar noticed us sitting there waiting.

The resort is in a beautiful very quiet location with lovely views of the ocean. The food prices were reasonable, the drinks a little pricey but I know the prices for drinks here can be cheaper. The room in general was not bad we were upgraded to a front room overlooking the sea which was idyllic. The staff in general were very nice and the rooms were very clean. There were a few hiccups upon arrival but thankfully the manager upgraded us so I won't go in to those. The food was not bad and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.The place to definitely visit and eat is the Tree House restaurant which is to the right down the beach not sure how far I usually go there from my place opposite direction but it's awesome and very good price for both drinks and food and have many healthy options both Thai and international, good for swimming too and they have a shower to since and swimming on the sea. I would highly recommend Austrian corner restaurants just a few minutes walk away they do an awesome barbecue every week and really good value quality food and also to the right as you walk out and on the left there is a German restaurant that is also excellent. Plenty of Thai food around too. It's about 5 km from Bangrak 4 km from fisherman's village approximately 10 km from chaweng and 15 approx from lamai.
The rain shower did not work. The cleaners left 1 shower gel etc when there were 2 people staying there. The female receptionist should be careful not to tell lies to people who live in Samui rather annoying that she didn't tell us in advance about the power cut even though the resort was notified the day before. Also she tried to put me in a rubbish room that I didn't pay for. The cupboard doesn't allow for hanging long dresses more for shirts etc. Pricey for the original room good thing the manager upgraded us

Beachfront, deck chairs, clean and close to restaurants
Everything was great and restaurant for lunch/dinner was tasty Thai food. Standout was satay. Only beds were very, very firm.. may need mattress topper for softness.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and cleaned daily. Lovely beach right at the hotel.
No kids pool, only a really small shallow baby pool and a big deep pool.
