Disappointing
The villa was a great size
Where to start?
We had many problems, the curtains are quite thin and let in the light,and there were no curtains at all on the kitchen window, so we were woken at 06:30 by the sun beaming into our room. Not ideal when on holiday.
There was no cold water in the bath tub.
The plug in the bath tub leaked.
When we emptied the bath tub, the water flooded the bathroom.
The adjustable shower head in the shower room didn't work.
There was no iron and ironing board,something I would expect in a hotel.room of that caliber.
And there was no cutlery in the kitchen other than 2 teaspoons.
No room service and no food available after lunchtime.
Breakfast was neither a buffet nor ordering from a menu, the staff brought food to our table and left it there, even tho we told them we didn't want it.
We got what they decided we should have.
How hard is it to offer a small breakfast menu?

The staff is nice. Breakfast is alright.
The room is very old. There are some unpleasant smell and noise from the water pump all the time which is annoying. The location is very far from city center as expected.

We had a brilliant 10 night stay at Dhevan Dara. Everyone we met from check in to leaving (reception, breakfast & housekeeping staff) were very accommodating & friendly. We particularly enjoyed our breakfast time, with a nice selection of local dishes. The villa was clean & comfortable. Bed was huge. It had everything we need.
Dhevan Dara is outside Hua Hin town centre. But this is great as you’ll be away from the crowd. We hired a motorcycle and it was an easy 20 min slow ride into town/beach area. There is a nightly local night market 3 min ride away, with live music, which we frequent regularly during our stay. There are also some local restaurants within a few min ride if you don’t fancy getting in to town. Great stay!

Staff were kind and service orientated, after the check in staff. The 2-bedroom pool villa is large for a family of 4, and the pool is decent enough for a plunge.
The hotel is dead, we stayed there in 2004 and it was packed, full of life and all villas online. Now the original check in and restaurants are closed, many of the villas are closed down, which you can see as you walk around the property. The pool they have kept maintained is looking shabby and dated, the breakfast was good, but as there are so few customers it feels an imposition to have them cook for you. The pool closed at 3pm weekdays, and restaurant open until 8pm on at the weekends, we went to eat out every night.

The Villa was beautiful and private. The pool was lovely to cool off in.
The only unfortunate thing was we holidayed when the gym was being refurbished but that is just bad luck and did not diminish from the enjoyment of our stay.

Checkin easy, car parking right outside the villa, and the pool was unusually CLEAN with spot on chemistry (I know pools).
The Kitchen complete and modern, the furnishings well appointed, and the location just off the highway (and a few Ks away from the beach) was ideal for me just passing through this time.
I did have a cold shower in the early morning hours upon checkout; maybe staff doesn't turn it on until 6 or 7.
Early AM cold water, of course, and It would have been nice to have control over the pool deck area lights (on auto timers), and have a switch for the pool pump.

Room was very big and clean. Staff were very helpful and assisted us immediately with anything we needed (e.g. light wasn't working in the pool and fixed immediately). Buffet food was good and it was appreciated that they changed some dishes every day for people who had longer stays. The Privacy of the villas was awesome and they were very quiet. Kitchen was very nice with all tools required to cook if needed. Very practical set up.
Everything was fantastic, honestly. The location was the only downside, however we knew that when renting this hotel. But we had a scooter and it was only 14 minutes to Hua Hin Center. The roads were safe and well lite, better than most western highways.
