I had a very pleasant stay at the Ban Chanchay Hotel in Hua Hin for a week at the end of December 2025. The hotel's location was ideal for me: it's in a quiet area, set back from the main road, yet restaurants, massage parlors of all kinds, bars and so on are about a 15-20 minute walk away. If you don't want to walk, you can easily find a tuk-tuk nearby. There's also a private path leading from the hotel to a lovely stretch of beach in three minutes. The room, air conditioning, shower, beds, and room service were all excellent and in great condition, with friendly and helpful staff. There's a small shop right next to the hotel entrance, and the large "Market Village" shopping center is about a 5-minute walk away. At around 1400 baht per night (approximately 40 euros) around Christmas 2025, the hotel offered excellent value for money. There's a swimming pool that's open until 10 pm – great for cooling off at almost any time of day – even if the pool area wouldn't exactly win any beauty contests :-) Also important: there's plenty of free parking for cars and motorcycles on the hotel grounds. Strong WIFI was available all the time. During my stay, I didn't encounter any unpleasant or noisy guests. I can highly recommend this hotel and will definitely book it again in the future. P.S.: ...don´t know about the breakfast, as there was a kitchen including microwave, fridge, sink, coffee-making-facilities in the additional room of my apartment - so I prepared breakfast by myself...
Nothing to complain about - even the stairs and steps, which some people may complain about, are no problem at all – after check-in, a strong member of staff immediately carried both my heavy suitcases upstairs... of course I tipped him for his friendly gesture; I think it is worth somewhere between 50 and 100 baht (about 2 euros).

The room where very clean, bed very comfortable, great shower in room. Very close to the beach, staff very helpful. Great breakfast and not expensive. Would definitely stay here again.

Quite basic but fine for myself as a solo traveler, in quite a quieter part of the resort. Next time I wouod get somewhere closer to the night market.

Location is great, close to the market village, and other mini supermarkets.
Check in was cold - receptionist was indifferent. Cold have smiled more and be more courteous. Room was ok, bathroom was not as clean, not because of the house keeping but bathroom just look dated. Don’t like how the air conditioner is above bed, spitting cold air down at our head/face. Uncomfortable
