A great location, and very safe; I left my door unlocked throughout my stay, and experienced no problems. The host is very friendly, and will offer help in English if required. Try the morning pupusa stall on the corner of Guillermo Cortez and Gabriela Mistral, which offers three pupusas and a coffee for $1.35.

Maria was nice.
The floor was wet from the rain leaking from the main entrance almost fell twice . Room was up high had to carry my luggage up in the rain dangerous in the stairways room was upstairs.

Poor fridge space, very bad wifi, very poor comfort, very dark room or neighbours had full spectrum look into the room, poor value for the price.

The lady at the front desk was fantastic, she helped us find taxis, plan our route to the bus station even though we spoke little Spanish we can’t thank her enough, the room even though very basic was clean, we had clean towels and sheets. You can get food delivered if you don’t want to venture out at nighttime which is good for new/ solo travellers
The shower definitely was a hazard, we had no hot water (although that didn’t bother us personally) the beds were the most uncomfortable things ever! But it was fine for a one night stay

Disappointing
The location
The room was dirty. We didn't have hot water, even if it said otherwise. The drain of the shower was clogged, so we had to hurry up if we didn't want to overflood the bathroom. It had mold on the celling. The facilities on the balcony were almost unusable.
